Lighting a cigarette is very harmful to your health. The end result varies between lung cancer, emphysema, possible stroke or heart attack. Some people end up with breathing holes inserted in their throats because of throat cancer from the toxins.

Because the chemicals in cigarette smoke are so addictive, some people will relapse after quitting smoking. From all of my personal experience and research I have found that becoming a permanent non smoker is easier when you incorporate healthy habits into your life.

A healthy lung has undamaged cilia ( tiny hairs ) and is pink in color. A smoker’s lung is black and the cilia are damaged. Tar coats the tissues of the lung and blackens the tissue.

Smoking claims around 5.5 million lives each year. The effects of smoking make life miserable for people that are addicted to smoking. Emphysema and shortness of breath are very painful. Gasping for air makes life difficult. Many people that have quit smoking comment that the addiction is extremely difficult to overcome. How can someone quit smoking? All of us were born without a cigarette in our mouth. Here is the path I took in 1998 to overcome this deadly habit.

1. Ask for Help.
2. Drink Plenty of Water
3. Go for Walks.
4. Keep a Sugar Free Mint with You.
5. Peel a Piece of Fruit or Munch a Carrot or Apple.
6. Use a Quitting Smoking Support Group
7. Use the Smoker’s Quit Line

couple joggingI pray every morning that God will remove the desire for nicotine, cigarettes and anything that is harmful to my body. I drink one half my ideal body weight of pure water in ounces each day. If you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 ounces of pure water.

I walk at least 30 minutes a day and up to an hour most days. The fresh air will help the process of removing the toxins from your body.

The process of peeling a banana, orange or other piece of fruit is the same hand to mouth action of smoking a cigarette. I also frequently called the American Cancer Society’s Smokers Quit Line to help me during my first few days of being a non smoker. The counselors helped me over those tough spots. It only takes around 3-4 days for most of the toxins to leave your body if you follow the above steps of walking and drinking water. Your body will quickly begin to start the healing process. Your body, hair and clothes will start to smell better.

Dietary fiber — found mainly in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes — is probably best known for its ability to prevent or relieve constipation. Foods containing fiber can provide other health benefits as well, such as helping to maintain a healthy weight and lowering your risk of diabetes, heart disease and some types of cancer.

Dietary Fiber Is Your Friend

Dietary Fiber, also known as roughage or bulk, includes the parts of plant foods your body can’t digest or absorb. Unlike other food components, such as fats, proteins or carbohydrates — which your body breaks down and absorbs — fiber isn’t digested by your body. Instead, it passes relatively intact through your stomach, small intestine and colon and out of your body.

Fiber is commonly classified as soluble, which dissolves in water, or insoluble, which doesn’t dissolve.

Soluble Fiber

This type of fiber dissolves in water to form a gel-like material. It can help lower blood cholesterol and glucose levels. Soluble fiber is found in oats, peas, beans, apples, citrus fruits, carrots, barley and psyllium.

Insoluble Fiber

This type of fiber promotes the movement of material through your digestive system and increases stool bulk, so it can be of benefit to those who struggle with constipation or irregular stools. Whole-wheat flour, wheat bran, nuts, beans and vegetables, such as cauliflower, green beans and potatoes, are good sources of insoluble fiber.

The amount of soluble and insoluble fiber varies in different plant foods. To receive the greatest health benefit, eat a wide variety of high-fiber foods. Photo below is the Salad that I ate today. No Big Mac Hamburgers In Heaven post is my desire to inform society about what is best for us to eat in regard to your health. Did you know animal protein causes inflammation in your body?

The reason I posted a photo of this cattle truck in this article is I see and hear these types of trucks often here in Southern Chile. The region has a huge cattle industry and many people make their living raising cattle for the meat industry.

The smell of fresh cow manure is very strong when you get near one of these cattle trucks as the cows are crammed in and the sudden trauma probably causes them to lose their cow chips or cow manure. In January I saw a huge bull cow with his eyes in the back of one of these trucks and the cow was banging his legs on the steel frame of the truck and made quite a noise as the truck rolled on towards the slaughterhouse.

A long time friend of mine told me he has a brother that is an Inspector at a slaughterhouse in the USA. The inspector is a vegetarian and says that if the public were to walk through a slaughterhouse, many would become vegetarians.

You have the God given right to chose what you want to eat. If you are concerned about your health, I invite you to read on as God called me to create this article and publish it.

From probably 1961 until 2000, I ate hamburgers, red meat and pork. In the southern part of the USA where I grew up, it was common to have some kind of meat at every meal.

I remember when the McDonalds fast food hamburger restaurant opened near our home in Madison, Tennessee.  At the time, I thought it was a real treat to go and get a burger with french fries. The convenience of fast food changed the way most Americans ate.

Original Diet In the Bible

You may not be aware but the Bible has many health principles. For the purpose of this article, I will stick to the one focused on what God calls clean foods. The original diet God gave is found in Genesis 1:29.

Genesis 1:29

“God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”

After sin entered the World in Genesis 3, God sent the Worldwide Flood shortly after He sent Noah to warn people to repent of their sins. God then allowed man to eat meat in Genesis 9:3.

“Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.”

One night in the year 2000, I came home from work exhausted. I was working a physically demanding job at a major airline. Work required that I get into the cargo hold of aircraft at a major airline. Our job was to load and unload airplanes with cargo, mail and luggage.

That night, I realized that I would have to make some changes if I wanted to keep my airline job. I am so grateful that I did. I am still alive today because I slowly eliminated animal foods from my diet. In just six months, I lost 35 kilograms or 75 pounds and have managed to keep the weight off since. Some of my fellow employees are no longer with us as they have gone to sleep.

Plant Protein Or Animal Foods

Plant proteins are much better for your body than animal proteins. Animal proteins cause inflammation in the body. When you eat animal proteins, you are getting secondary protein as most animals are vegetarians and eat plants to live. Highly recommend reading this article that is in Prevention Magazine.

The Bible tells us in Revelation 21:4 that when Jesus Christ returns, there will be no more death. Animals will no longer be slaughtered so there will be No Big Mac Hamburgers In Heaven or Earth.

“God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

That means animals will no longer be killed for meat. Lions will be tame and not hunt prey.

Farmers that want to get out of the animal herding industry could take their land and start growing in demand fruits and vegetables. The amount of water required to raise a baby calf into a cow is huge.

On average, a single cow produces between 70 to 120 kg of methane gas per year. Just multiply 70 kg times the billions of cows on earth and get an idea of the impact raising cows has on our planet. Earth would be better if there was No Big Mac Hamburgers In Heaven or Earth.

A recent three-year study based on Australian workers, showed the association between poor sleep quality and quantity with higher “presenteeism” – the state of reduced productivity even though present.  The study, released by the Resilience Institute followed 16,000 people in 250 organizations, 43.3 per cent of respondents ranked high on questions relating to tiredness and fatigue.

“Sleep and rest are vital to our health and well-being,” says Stuart Taylor, founder of the Resilience Institute. “A lack of sleep can show up in a variety of ways. Co-ordination, attention, decision-making and impulse control all suffer, while cardiovascular risk, blood pressure, metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes, and immune system dysfunction increase.” One in eight women in the USA are affected by Breast Cancer.

Artificial light, heating, electronics and sleep debt are among the factors disrupting our body clocks. “Our circadian rhythm is a 24.5-hour cycle built into our suprachiasmatic nucleus. Sitting just behind the eyes, this clock is regulated by light, particularly requiring the blue light in the early hours of the day to effectively reset. When we wake our body temperature rises, cortisol is released, blood pressure rises, testosterone peaks and we are alert, coordinated and effective.

During the day we build up adenosine, which in high levels increases our propensity for sleep. The longer we are alert, the deeper our delta-wave sleep. After 7:00 pm our body temperature drops, at 9:00 pm melatonin secretion begins and we drop into a deep sleep somewhere between 10:00 pm and 02:00 am. Growth hormone is active during this stage, facilitating repair, growth and immunity.”

REM Sleep is essential to memory and emotional intelligence, according to Taylor, but a good night’s sleep also rejuvenates our cells, builds muscle and repairs the brain.

Here are some tips to rest well at night.

1. Commit to a regular wake-up time. Rise at dawn if possible.
2. Get vigorous exercise early in the day
3. Power-nap for 15 minutes after lunch
4. Avoid caffeine after 2:00 pm ( best to eliminate )
5. Have an early and light evening meal
6. Limit alcohol and protein intake  ( best to eliminate alcohol )
7. Ditch TV, laptops and gadgets after 7:00 pm (or two hours before bedtime)
8. Cool, darken, quiet your bedroom
9. Make your bedroom an electronic-free zone
10. Develop a relaxation routine before sleep
11. Discharge sleep debt by going to bed early, rather than sleeping in
12. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep each night

You can improve your health by using these Thirty Days of Health Challenges tips. The first one is the best advice that I got from my Naturopathic Doctor. When you first wake up in the morning, your body is dehydrated. Many people rush to their coffee machines or coffee pots. Acidic beverages are not what the cells in your body need.

Every cell in your body needs pure water so it can detox the waste from the cell. Your organs need water to function well. Water is the universal solvent. Without enough water, you risk having many health problems.

Health benefits of drinking water include the maintenance of pH balance, body temperature, metabolism, breathing, prevention of constipation, heartburn, migraines, gastritis, ulcers, kidney stones, cardiovascular disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, backaches and osteoporosis.

Every time I have had a headache, it is because I was dehydrated. How much water should you drink?

Ideally we should drink one half of our ideal body weight in fluid ounces of water daily. Do not count coffee, sodas or tea. So if your ideal body weight is 150 pounds, you should get at least 75 fluid ounces of pure water into your body. If you live in a hot climate, you will need more due to perspiration.

Our bodies are 60 percent water. We lose fluids daily through:

  1. Breathing
  2. Perspiration
  3. Stool
  4. Urine

If you will add 2 Tablespoons of Organic Lemon Juice into your water first thing in the morning, you will help your liver and body cleanse itself. You can also squeeze the juice out of fresh organic lemons if you prefer.

How to Live to 100 years or more is a passion of mine.

The last century’s technological improvements tended to reform the focus of medicine from a service-oriented, caring model to a cure-oriented, technological model.

The latest research on Americans’ daily lives claimed that highly spiritual people are more concerned about their families, more likely to volunteer and more participating in their communities and thus, usually happier with each and everything going in their lives.

For instance, almost half of the highly religious people who advise praying every day and attend religious events every week – get together to meet their relatives at least once a month.

Life expectancy can be enhanced with little changes and simple steps. Follow this guide to living 100 years or more.

  1. Eat Organic foods

Life expectancy is linked to three elements; eat more vegetables, consume more antioxidants, and maintain a healthy weight. Before we dig into how you can increase your lifespan being vegetarian, we have to explain what does a vegetarian means?

A person who eats lots of vegetables cooked in healthy fats while restricting animal products, like cheese, fast food, and ice creams. The primary cause of death and shorter life expectancy is poor cardiovascular health. With the increase in your age, there can be an accumulation of gunk in your arteries and vessels to become stiff.

This can increase your blood pressure and makes it hard for your heart to work efficiently. Vegetarians have low chances of building a gunk because eating vegetables can help you avoid unhealthy foods and bad fats. People who are vegetarian take in a fair proportion of antioxidants. Antioxidants aid in repairing the damage caused by aging. The more vegetables you consume, the more raw material your body can repair.

Lastly, vegetables satisfy your hunger, and a healthy vegetarian diet can help you lose weight. A healthy diet and a healthy weight can make you live 100 years or more.

  1. Do regular workout

Increase your life expectancy with a promise to a daily workout. The research claimed that people who do daily exercise for around three to four hours a week had younger DNA cells than the nonexercisers.

The simplest way to build an exercise habit is by repeating it daily. When you commit yourself for daily workout, you may take off for one day but then get back on the program the next day.

If you exercise three times a week and skip one day, then you would have to maintain the habit by joining it from the very next day. Daily exercise will also aid in amending your sleep and energy. It is crucial to speed up your entire day each day.

Keep in mind that daily exercise doesn’t have to include the gym every day. You can do free weights, stretching, yoga, or other home exercises.

  1. Don’t take too much stress.

Life longevity can be screwed up by stress in two basic ways. The primary method is through the unhealthy and direct effects of stress on you in the long run.

The other way stress may reduce your life longevity is by the wrong behaviors that being stress activators. These behaviors involve smoking and comfort eating. Learn to stay calm by meditation or de-stressing methods to keep your life longevity up where it should be.

Stress is associated with several health issues like cancer or heart disease. Stress has been associated with not feeling well or feeling irritated. By concentrating on stress, you can enhance your quality of life from now while amending your health in the long-run and also your life expectancy. That’s an incredible deal.

You can de-stress by following a massive range of stress reduction methods. Meditation and breathing technique helps you in calming and training your mind. These are just perfect for improving your focus, mental fitness, relaxation and to fulfill your desire about how to live to 100 years or more.

  1. Have faith in God

A rising body of studies has started explaining the complicated link between spiritual and religious beliefs and feelings and a person’s psychological and physical health. Nobody says it’s as simple as attending some event in church or being religious later in life. It may be that people who are more involved in spiritual activities feel better emotionally, and that helps them live a healthier and longer life.

Some other reports have also confirmed that spirituality may be advantageous because people feel calm; they experience less stress and depression and show signs of good health, such as fewer strokes and low blood pressure.

For instance, this could mean linking up to small prayer groups, writing your story, practicing personal meditation, and staying optimistic can help expand your lifespan to 100 years or more.

Welcome to my Quit Smoking post. Smoking is very harmful to your health. In every cigarette, there are over 4000 chemicals, 400 toxins, and 43 cancer causing carcinogens. Lighting a cigarette is very harmful to your health. The end result varies between lung cancer, emphysema, possible stroke or heart attack. Some people end up with breathing holes inserted in their throats because of throat cancer from the toxins.

quit smokingHow can you prevent someone from ever smoking? One suggestion is to ask your local coroner’s office to inspect a black lung taken from a person that has died from lung disease. A healthy lung has undamaged cilia ( tiny hairs ) and is pink in color. A smoker’s lung is black and the cilia are damaged. Tar coats the tissues of the lung and blackens the tissue.

Smoking claims around 5.5 million lives each year. The effects of smoking make life miserable for people that are addicted to smoking. Emphysema and shortness of breath are very painful. Gasping for air makes life difficult. Many people that have quit smoking comment that the addiction is extremely difficult to overcome. How can someone quit smoking? The process of peeling a banana, orange or other piece of fruit is the same hand to mouth action of smoking a cigarette. I also frequently called the American Cancer Society’s Smokers Quit Line to help me during my first few days of being a non smoker. The counselors helped me over those tough spots. Welcome to the Divine Design Childbirth post. I found this fascinating and hope you do as well. The article is an adaptation of the Divine Design video series done by Patti Barnes and Hartland College.

Miracle of Childbirth by Patti Barnes

No candid person can study the amazing process of pro-creation without being overwhelmed by the divine design involved. From conception to delivery, the processes that take place defy the concept of evolution. Here is just one example of the handywork of God, without which there could be no viable birth.

Divine Design Childbirth

Right at birth a miraculous change must take place in the baby’s circulatory system. Throughout the pregnancy, the placenta has been supplying the functions of the liver, the lungs, the kidneys and carrying away waste and carbon dioxide while supplying the oxygen and necessary nutrition. In other words, the placenta has been the life support system for the baby. Now that is about to come to an end, and because it will end, there must be a rearranging of the baby’s circulatory system.

Up until now the blood has been bypassing the liver and the lungs, detouring around these major organs, while the placenta was temporarily performing their functions. These detours are called shunts. Another way to look at this is to think of the path of least resistance. The resistance into the liver and lungs has been high, therefore restricting the flow through them. The blood was flowing freely through the shunts and to and from the placenta, because the resistance was quite low. At birth, the blood is able to continue straight through the liver and the lungs where the resistance has now fallen, due to the amniotic fluid being displaced and the blood vessels expanding.

Divine Design Childbirth

Another marvel of creation is the restriction of blood flow in the umbilical cord. A strong muscle-like cord begins contracting, clamping down on it. There is an amazing substance known as Wharton’s Jelly that has been serving a very important role while the baby was in the womb. This jelly-like material has helped prevent the cord from kinking and pinching off the blood flow, so necessary for the baby’s survival. Now this jelly serves a different and opposite purpose. After being exposed to the cold air, it begins to condense and harden. The result is a restriction of the blood flow to and from the baby. This prevents excessive blood loss for both the baby and the mother.

When the cord gets clamped and severed, the blood flow is completely channeled back into the arteries. Gradually, the shunts or bypasses, begin to shrink or disappear. Now all the plumbing is reorganized so that the baby’s organs can do all that the placenta was doing. All this takes place in a matter of minutes.

Charles Darwin

As you can see, this is just not possible with evolution. Charles Darwin admitted in his book, On the Origin of Species, “If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not have possibly been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. But I can find out no such case.” Darwin, living in the middle of the 19th century ( 1800’s ), knew nothing of this miracle of childbirth. Here his theory does indeed “absolutely break down”, not just once or twice, but countless times. One little glitch in this process and there is no baby and no second chance to get it right.
