Spiritual

Welcome to my Seventh Day of Creation Week post. I am a Bible Christian. That means my faith and beliefs are sourced from the Bible and not from church doctrine or a religion.

This Is Year 15 for Me Doing Daily Bible Study That Covers the Entire Bible In 1 Year. We Just Passed Exodus 20 Which Is God Giving the Ten Commandments. We Just Passed Exodus 31 Which Is the Sabbath Law.

My Dear Fellow Christians That Faithfully Attend Churches On Sunday, Please Do Not Read Anything In to This Message. I Am Not Saying You Are Wrong for Attending Worship On Sunday, the First Day of the Week. I Was a ‘Sunday Keeper’ for Over 47 Years Until I Saw the Sabbath Truth of the Bible.

Seventh Day of Creation Week

In Genesis 2, At the End of Creation Week, God Created a SPECIAL DAY. God Had Just Created Man On Day 6 and Gave Man the Sabbath Day On Day 7.

Genesis 2:1-3 The Garden of Eden
Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

The Word Sabbath Is Found Hundreds of Times In the Bible. Jesus Kept the Sabbath. Jesus Never Sinned. Jesus Even Corrected the Religious Leaders of His Day About What Is Proper & Godly Behavior On God’s Sanctified & Holy Day. Jesus Healed People On the Sabbath.

Why Does Most of the Christian World Attend Worship On Sunday? It Is Because the Catholic Church Said It Has the Authority to Change God’s Law & God’s Word.

Daniel 7:25 Actually Prophesied About This Happening Hundreds of Years Before It Happened In the 4th Century.

He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.

The Word Sunday Is Not Found In the Bible. There Are 8 First Day Texts But None of Them Are About Worship.

Jesus Christ Tells Us In John 14:15

If You Love Me, Keep My Commandments.

Do You Want to Follow Jesus Christ and Follow What the Word of God Teaches In the Bible Or Do You Want to Follow the Catholic Church & Its Traditions? The Seventh Day of Creation Week Is important as it reveals whether we will worship the God of the Bible or follow traditions of man. Jesus warned in this verse:

Mark 7:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men.

Seventh Day of Creation Week

Joshua 24:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
“If it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Summary Statement Is This: I Have Never Found Any Biblical Teaching That Says Sunday, the First Day of the Week Is Holy. I Work My Business On Sunday. Since I Learned This Bible Truth, I Shut My Business Down On Friday Afternoon.

I Do My Best to Just Rest In the Grace of Jesus Christ. I Have Been Accused of Being a Legalist. I Cannot Be a Legalist If I Am Resting When Most of the Christian World Is Still Working On God’s Holy Day. Legalism Requires Work. I Rest On Sabbath. I Attend Bible Study. I Go for Hikes In Nature On Sabbath Afternoon. I Like to Serve Other People If I Can On Sabbath.

The Final Word Is: Ask Jesus Christ If You Should Keep His Holy Sanctified Seventh-day Sabbath As He Did. Hope you have enjoyed reading the Seventh Day of Creation Week post.

Satan’s Lies

Welcome to my Satan’s Lies post where I do my best to expose the deceptions of the evil one. Everyone has freedom to chose whether they will follow God or not. Because we have free will to chose, that should be proof to all souls that there is a God that loves you.

What is Spiritualism?

According to Wikipedia: Spiritualism is a belief that spirits of the dead have both the ability and the inclination to communicate with the living. The afterlife, or “spirit world”, is seen by spiritualists, not as a static place, but as one in which spirits continue to evolve.

Every year people spend billions of dollars on a Pagan tradition known as Halloween. The Bible clearly teaches that the Dead Know Nothing:

Ecclesiastes 9:5 New King James Version (NKJV)

For the living know that they will die;
But the dead know nothing,
And they have no more reward,
For the memory of them is forgotten.

What are the Eastern Religions?

According to Wikipedia, The Eastern religions are the religions that originated in East, South and Southeast Asia and thus have dissimilarities with Western religions. This includes the East Asian religions (Shintoism, Sindoism, Taoism and Confucianism), Indian religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism) as well as animistic indigenous religions.

This East-West religious distinction, just as with the East-West culture distinction, and the implications that arise from it, is broad and not precise. Furthermore, the geographical distinction has less meaning in the current context of global transculturation.

While many Western observers attempt to distinguish between Eastern philosophies and religions, this is a distinction that does not exist in some Eastern traditions.

I have been to Southeast Asia and visited Buddhist Temples. I was respectful and took off my shoes when I entered.

What is the New Age Movement?

According to Britannica’s website: The New Age movement is a movement that spread through the occult and metaphysical religious communities in the 1970s and ʾ80s. It looked forward to a “New Age” of love and light and offered a foretaste of the coming era through personal transformation and healing. The movement’s strongest supporters were followers of modern esotericism, a religious perspective that is based on the acquisition of mystical knowledge and that has been popular in the West since the 2nd century ad, especially in the form of Gnosticism. Ancient Gnosticism was succeeded by various esoteric movements through the centuries, including Rosicrucianism in the 17th century and Freemasonry, theosophy, and ritual magic in the 19th and 20th centuries.

What is Gnosticism?

According to Wikipedia, Gnosticism is a modern name for a variety of ancient religious ideas and systems, originating in Jewish-Christian milieux in the first and second century AD. These systems believed that the material world is created by an emanation or ‘works’ of a lower god (Demiurge), trapping the divine spark within the human body. This divine spark could be liberated by gnosis, spiritual knowledge acquired through direct experience. Some of the core teachings include the following:

  • All matter is evil, and the non-material, spirit-realm is good.
  • There is an unknowable God, who gave rise to many lesser spirit beings called Aeons.
  • The creator of the (material) universe is not the supreme god, but an inferior spirit (the Demiurge).
  • Gnosticism does not deal with “sin”, only ignorance.
  • To achieve salvation, one needs to get in touch with gnosis.

What is Paganism?

According to Wikipedia, Paganism is a term that developed among the Christian community of southern Europe during late antiquity to describe religions other than their own, Judaism, or Islam–the three Abrahamic religions. Throughout Christendom, it continued to be used, typically in a derogatory sense.

Christianity

Satan's Lies

Christianity is the belief that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to this earth to be a bridge to restore fallen man to God. If you really search the Holy Bible and study the Life of Jesus Christ, you will see that there has been no other human being like Him. He healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind, opened the ears of the deaf and was able to make the lame walk. He kept His Father God’s Ten Commandments and never sinned. Because of His Perfect Life, His Shed Blood Is What Provides Salvation for All Mankind, not just a chosen few. His Grace extended to you is a free gift. Just accept it and be saved.

How to Live Without Fear, Guilt and Shame

Welcome to my How to Live Without Fear, Guilt and Shame post. Our emotions are a core part of our humanity. Learning emotional intelligence is paramount for our happiness in this world. We are created to be happy, joyous and free.

How to Live Without Fear Guilt and Shame

The negative emotions of Fear, Guilt and Shame can weight a person down. I have experienced them myself in my life journey. Here is a short introduction to what these emotions are and how to not be dominated by them.

Fear

Fear is part of our human condition as we are given a fight or flight awareness in the event we feel unsafe in a situation. If you were walking on the river bank in Alaska and came across some bears that were catching salmon to eat, you would naturally keep yourself a distance away from the bears if you do not want to be hurt.

Here are some common Fears:

Death

Flying

Heights

Public Speaking

Snakes or Spiders

Guilt

Guilt is a cognitive or an emotional experience that occurs when a person believes or realizes—accurately or not—that they have compromised their own standards of conduct or have violated a universal moral standard and bear significant responsibility for that violation. Guilt is closely related to the concept of remorse.

I suffered from guilt for many years because my behavior was less than stellar. When I hit my emotional bottom, I had to work through my feeling of guilt. Sometimes today I can come home and feel the guilt emotion if I was overly concerned with myself instead of being interested in how I can help other people. I keep bible tracts and other positive messages handy to hopefully be a blessing to someone that I meet each day. I don’t always remember to have these tracts handy if I need them.

Shame

Shame is an unpleasant self-conscious emotion typically associated with a negative evaluation of the self, withdrawal motivations, and feelings of distress, exposure, mistrust, powerlessness, and worthlessness.

As a child, many of us probably heard out parents say: “Shame on you”. I seemed to get more than my share of that statement from my mother when I was young. I have had to work on healing the shame from my past.

One of the best resources that I can share is John Bradshaw’s Book: Healing the Shame That Binds You. You can check your local library or find an electronic copy on the internet.

The fastest way to healing Fear, Guilt and Shame that I have found is giving my heart to Jesus Christ. Here are the  seven simple steps to freedom.

1. Repent and Confess Our Sins
2. Allow His Blood to Cleanse You
3. Allow Him to Justify You
4. Allow Him to Wash You
5. Allow His Word to Cleanse You
6. Allow His Word to Be Written In Your Heart and Mind
7. Chose to Make Choices for HIM

Every day Jesus heals broken hearts and hurting people just like HE did when he was walking on this earth. I recommend reading the following books to learn about Jesus and His Life:

Desire of Ages

Great Controversy

Steps to Christ

Battle of the Mind by Colby Maier

Welcome to my Battle of the Mind by Colby Maier post. Colby preached this message at Adventist Community Church of Vancouver on Sabbath, 20 October 2018. He has recently joined the pastoral staff at the church. Colby opened his sermon with: “Be not conformed to this world.”

Battle of the Mind by Colby Maier

Romans 12:1-2
Living Sacrifices to God
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Most Christians have enough God in their life to not fully enjoy the world. Many Christians also have enough of the world in them to not fully enjoy God. To be born again and transformed really means a changed nature.

We need to constantly renew our minds, otherwise we will go back to the pattern of this world. Jesus says: “You Are Justified, Declared Righteous, That Is Who You Are. Be Transformed”.

Battle of the Mind by Colby Maier

Isaiah 44:1-2

God’s Blessing on Israel

“Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant,
And Israel whom I have chosen.
Thus says the Lord who made you
And formed you from the womb, who will help you:
‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

We do not have to fight to conform to this world. The World is full of deceptions and lies. We need to preach the Gospel to ourselves every single morning. Bring His Promises into your mind first thing in the morning.
Self-identification changes how we view the Gospel. Our mind dictates our nature. Trust in His Word.

Are you suffering from any of the following?

  1. Anxiety
  2. Depression
  3. Fear

Discerning the Will of God becomes automatic when you are in congruence with Jesus.

Let us return and look at the last part of Romans 12:2.

The Love of God is just waiting to change your nature.

Preach the Gospel to Yourself Every Morning. Hope you have enjoyed reading my Battle of the Mind by Colby Maier post. There are many more messages under the Spiritual Category of my website.

Forgive 77 Times

Welcome to the Forgive 77 Times sermon message by Elder Paul Ybarra from Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church. Paul gave this sermon on Sabbath, 20 October 2018.

Scripture verse for today is Matthew 18:21-22.

The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”

Forgive 77 Times

Paul Ybarra asked his brother: “How many times have you forgiven me?” His brother replied 70 x 7 = 490 x 7 = 3,430 x 7 = 24,010.

God’s forgiveness is Infinite. Once you count past Forgive 77 times, you may forget how many times you have forgiven.

1 Corinthians 15:52

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Our bodies will be changed but our characters will not. The character we have at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is what we will be in heaven.

Forgiveness is mentioned over 130 times in the Bible. God tells us we must forgive. When God tells us something, it is a Holy Directive.

Forgive 77 Times

John 17:3

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Matthew 22:37

Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

Three Steps to Be Able to Forgive

  1. Know Your God
  2. Believe In Your God
  3. Love Your God

Forgiveness is a journey. It is easier said than done. Acknowledge you have done something wrong.

Luke 11:13

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!

Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you. Once a person opens the door of their heart to God, God will respond.

King David’s Prayer of Repentance is in Psalms 51. David committed adultery with Bathsheba. That sin led to a worse sin of having Bathsheba’s husband Uriah killed in battle.

A Prayer of Repentance
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

Psalm 51

Forgive 77 Times

Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

3
For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4
Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.

5
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6
Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8
Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9
Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

10
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

Forgive 77 Times

14
Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15
O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16
For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

18
Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19
Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

God says that David is a man after His own heart.

Paul Ybarra owed $1,000 to a janitorial supply business in California. On a recent trip there, Paul drove by the business and the man was still in business. Paul made retribution and paid the $1,000.

After forgiving other people, we must learn to forgive ourselves. The Devil will keep bringing up your past.

Pastor Pavel Goia says when tempted, instantly ask for the Holy Spirit and Pray. Here are his audio sermons about Forgiveness.

What does the Bible say about God and His Forgiveness?

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Forgive 77 Times

Mark 9:24

Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Believe that God has forgiven your sins.

Micah 7:19

He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Revelation 21:1

All Things Made New

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

There are over 3,000 Promises in the Holy Bible. Read your Bible. Read it slowly. Ask God to help you understand the scriptures as you read them.

Jesus picked 12 totally different men to be His Disciples. On a sports team, there are different personalities on the team. Individuals may not get along. When they get on a sports field, the team plays as a team and forgets about all the differences.

Our nation is split. We need to all be on Jesus’s Team and work on Saving Souls. If you want to learn how to Grow, learn to Love. Join a church. It will take effort by all church members to agree and get along.

  1. The First to Apologize Is the Bravest.
  2. The First to Forgive Is the Strongest.
  3. The First to Forget Is the Happiest.

I hope you were blessed by reading my Forgive 77 times post. If I can help you with growing in Jesus Christ, contact me.

Love WorksLove Works

Welcome to the Love Works Message given on 7 July 2018 at Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church in Washougal, Washington by Pastor Merrill Caviness.

An edifying illustration of FORGIVENESS from the time of the ancient Christians of Rome:

A rich man with hundreds of slaves had one by the name of Paulus, whom he trusted fully, making him steward over all his household.

One day he went with Paulus to the slave market to buy some new men. Before bargaining, they examined the human merchandise, observing their musculature to see if they were worth their price.

Paulus saw for sale a weak, old man. He implored his owner to buy this slave.

The rich man, Proculus, answered mockingly, “But he is good for nothing.” “Buy him,” Paulus insisted. “He is cheap. And I promise that the work in your household will go as never before.”

So the owner yielded. And it really was true that all the work went better than ever. But Proculus observed that Paulus now worked for two men.

The old slave did nothing. Paulus tended him, gave him the best food, and made him rest the whole time. Proculus asked Paulus, “You know I value you. I don’t mind your protecting this old man.

Only tell me who he is. Is it perhaps your father? Paulus answered,”It is one to whom I owe more than to my father.”

“Is it your teacher?” “No. Somebody to whom I owe more.” “Who is it, then?” “This is my enemy. He is the man who killed my father and sold us, the children, as slaves.

As for me, I am a disciple of Christ, Who has taught us to love our enemies and to reward evil with good.”

Love WorksDo you remember the phrase What Would Jesus Do?

Husbands and wives, why do you love your spouse? Despite our defects and character flaws, we are called to love one another as Jesus Christ has loved you.

It is impossible to love everyone in our own strength. With Jesus, all things are possible. In Christ, we are able. Love Works! Love one another as God sent Jesus.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God calls us to be perfect. Letting an enemy off the hook goes against our human nature that is hurt. What if your enemy was an entire group of people? What if someone killed your son or daughter?

The Jewish and Palestinian people have struggled to exist so close to each other. A woman named Robies had a son that served in the Israeli military. The son was killed by a Palestinian sniper.

How would Robies respond? Peace does not come through force but a changed human heart.

A Palestinian man lost his daughter. A local support group reached out to other parents who have lost a child. The group is made up of Israeli and Palestinian parents. The miracle of Love works in this support group healing broken hearts. Love Works. Remember this and choose to Love First. Jesus gave us this example. Love Works.

Lessons from the Almond Joy

Lessons from the Almond Joy is a message that I just have to share with my readers. It is a piece of an outreach tool one of our church members gave me at church. This is remarkable:

“Lessons from the Almond Joy”

Joy – The Almond Joy proclaims to us that most beautiful promise, “The Joy of the Lord is our Strength” Nehemiah 8:10

The Almond – The almond reminds us of Aaron’s budding staff, which thru the Power of God produced almonds in a single day. By this we remember that it is never too late for us to do good for God’s Kingdom. Through the Holy Spirit’s power, even ‘dry sticks’ like us can instantly become fruitful. Numbers 17:8

Peter & Paul – Peter was the Apostle to the Jews. Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles. Both symbolize that the Good News of Salvation thru Christ is for ALL, saint & sinner alike. NO ONE who wants to be saved is excluded, and all who come to Jesus must feel welcome in God’s Family & learn to be warm to others.
Galatians 2:7 and John 3:16

Do you want to now accept the Free Gift of Salvation of Your Soul by Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?

Pray this prayer out loud and copy and paste it so you can share it with other people as no one can keep such joy that comes when you realize just how precious you are to Jesus Christ.

Lessons from the Almond JoySinner’s Prayer

Father God, I come to you in prayer, humbling asking for the forgiveness of my sins.

I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is Your Son and that HE died on the Cross at Calvary, that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come into my life and be my personal Lord and Savior.

I repent of my sins, and will worship you all the days of my life.

Because your word is Truth, I confess with my mouth that I am born again and cleansed by the Blood of Jesus.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

I pray that Lessons from the Almond Joy has helped you.

If you need personal help with understanding the Bible, please send me a message and I will respond as I can.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness Sermon notes from Pastor Gary Parks message given at Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church in April 2018.

A Harvard Study of 724 men found that Relationships have the ability to keep us alive longer than our diet and exercise programs. Connecting and Responding to other people’s needs is God Given as we were created in God’s Image. We were born to serve others.

We will come up from the grave with the same character that was developed here.

Forgiveness is not easy.

Our nation has suffered many horrible tragedies when someone with mental illness unloaded a military style assault weapon on innocent bystanders. Here is a short list of these disastrous events.

Las Vegas
San Francisco
Orlando
Fort Lauderdale
San Bernardino
Colorado Springs
Roseburg
Chattanooga
Charleston

Three of the worst were:

Columbine, Colorado
Newtown, Connecticut
Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania

Too many children lost their lives in these tragedies. The shooting in Pennsylvania was in a peaceful Amish village. Charles Carl Roberts IV, a milk truck driver armed with a small arsenal, bursts into a one-room schoolhouse and kills five Amish girls. He kills himself as police storm the building.

ForgivenessDarrell Bigger’s daughter was one of the Amish school girls that were killed by Charles Roberts IV. Because the Amish understand that a lifetime of unforgiveness is more painful than forgiveness, Mr. Bigger chose to forgive Charles Roberts IV.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

There are now shelters for battered men.

Isaiah 43:25
I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.

Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

God wants us to have a relationship with us. Jesus is different than every human.

Ephesians 4:32
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

In 1997, there were 58 Studies on How Emotions Impact Our Health.

In 2005, there were 1,200 Studies. The most notable was the Stanford University Forgiveness Project. Fred Luskin shares that there is no copyright in the Bible about Forgiveness.

Jesus wants us to be Free. Forgiveness is about remembering things different. Unforgiveness is a disease. There is a connection to the chemicals in the body that impact the immune system. Sixty-one percent of Cancer Patients have forgiveness issues.

There is a correlation between people with anger issues and having a heart disease. Ask people to think about what it would be like to forgive someone.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is an attitude of the strong. ~Mahatma Gandhi

Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years in South Africa. He easily could have left prison with anger about his being imprisoned but practiced Forgiveness and became the First President of South Africa later in his life.

1 John 2:9
He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.

The Bible has instructions about Forgiveness in Matthew 18 verses 21 through 35. God made us to be in Community and laid out the Steps. Jesus says to Forgive 70 times 7 which equals 490 times. We must become a habitual forgiver.

ForgivenessThe Parable about the two debtors in verses 24 through 35 reveals a powerful Forgiveness example. One Talent equals about 15 years wages. One debtor owed 10,000 talents. The other debtor had a 100 days wages debt.

How to Forgive

Identify the person who hurt you.
Write out the Incident or Behavior that hurt you.
Write out the Emotions that was caused.
Feel the Pain.
Take a Red Pen and write FORGIVEN over the offense and date it.

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Ellen White’s Book “Our High Calling” Page 370.4

There is too much coldness and indifference—too much of the “I don’t care” spirit—exercised among the professed followers of Christ. All should feel a care for one another, jealousy guarding each other’s interests. “Love one another.” Then we should stand a strong wall against Satan’s devices. Amid opposition and persecution we would not join the vindictive ones, not unite with the followers of the great rebel, whose special work is to accuse the brethren, to defame and cast stain upon their characters.

Ellen White’s “Book That I May Know Him” Page 184.5

The door of the mind should be closed against, “they say” or “I have heard.” Why should we not, instead of allowing jealousy or evil surmising to come into our hearts, go to our brethren, and, after frankly but kindly setting before them the things we have heard detrimental to their character and influence, pray with and for them?

Luke 23:34
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. And they divided His garments and cast lots.

Four Promises of Forgiveness

1. Will Not Think About the Incident
2. Will Not Bring It Up
3. Will Not Talk to Others About It
4. Do Not Let It Stand Between You and People

Nazis in Poland executed a man’s family. He spoke German and was sent to a work camp. He chose forgiveness. Forgiveness is not easy.

“Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is an attitude”. ~ Martin Luther King

Who Serves Whom

Welcome to my post titled Who Serves Whom? This post is the notes that I took from Pastor Merrill Caviness’s Sermon that he preached in April 2018 at the Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church in Washougal, Washington.

Luke 4:8

Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

Jesus knew who He was.

John 13:3-20

Who Serves WhomJesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?”
7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”
8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”
12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
Jesus Identifies His Betrayer
18 “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’ 19 Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He. 20 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

Do you know who Jesus is?

It is impossible to out give or out serve God who gives Life and Love to all. God created us to serve. We find joy in serving one another. It is the greatest joy you will experience in your life.

Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25

14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Jesus says: Keep My Commands. Abide in Me. Jesus says He wants us to be Joyful.

Who Serves WhomThe first 4 Commandments we serve God.
The last 6 Commandments we serve others.
Jesus said: Be Perfect, like your Father.

Last Parable in Matthew 25 is the Sheep and the Goats. The difference between the two groups is serving others. One served ( sheep ) and the other ( goats ) did not.
It takes skill to win at any endeavor.
It takes caring to be a winner.

Joshua 24:15

And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [a]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Who Serves Whom is a powerful reminder of just who Jesus is. We had the Ordinance of Humility which is the Foot Washing service and Holy Communion on the Sabbath day that this message was preached by Pastor Merrill. I always will remember this Who Serves Whom message and decided to put it up on my blog. Let me know if I can help you with Spiritual Matters. I recommend this free Ebook that details why there is Evil in the world today.

What Do Seventh Day Adventist Christians Believe

What do Seventh Day Adventist Christians Believe is a summary post to help people understand the main principles of the Bible based movement. I am not employed by the church. I am a baptized member in good standing meaning that I attend church on a regular basis and am active in ministry where possible. For the full 28 fundamental doctrines of the church, please visit the church website: Seventh Day Adventist Christian Church

What Do Seventh Day Adventist Christians BelieveHere are four bullet points that I found while visiting the New Life SDA Church in Berlin, Germany. I am in complete agreement with these four points.

It is in my humble opinion that this is fundamental Christian doctrine. I will never go in the wrong direction as long as I keep my eyes centered on Jesus Christ and His teachings. He is an excellent role model for us all.

  • As a people, we hold the Bible in supreme regard as the revealers of God’s truth to guide us in salvation. Our love and devotion focuses on Jesus Christ, whom we worship as our Saviour, Creator, Lord and King.
  • We believe that forgiveness, healing, and eternal life are offered freely to all on the basis of what Jesus has already accomplished for us at the cross and continues to do as He ministers on our behalf in the heavenly sanctuary above. God’s mercy and grace are infinite, and are received by faith to prepare for Jesus’ second coming.
  • The “new covenant” provides not only forgiveness for sin, but also God’s promise to write His law on our hearts so that our greatest joy will be to do His will. We keep His commandments, not in order to be saved, but because He has already encircled us in His saving arms. His law includes also the fourth commandment, Sabbath, which invites us to spend a special time of fellowship with Him on the seventh day of the week.
  • We feel compelled as a people to share with a perishing world these messages of God’s love in the context of the final judgment hour message of Revelation 14. Because of our devotion to Jesus, we look forward to His soon return in the clouds of heaven wen we shall see our Savior face to face.

What Do Seventh day Adventist Christians BelieveIf you are ready for a New Life In Jesus Christ, contact me on my Contact Page on the menu header at the top of all pages and posts on my website.

I welcome your comments and posts about your own personal experience with a relationship with Jesus Christ.

My own personal experience is that I found a new life in Jesus Christ by following these principles:

  1. Daily Prayer Time
  2. Talking to God Throughout the Day As You Would a Friend
  3. Daily Bible Study
  4. Weekly Worship In Church
  5. Ministry Flows from the Heart of a Born Again Christian

Dive Into Jesus Christ

Dive Into Jesus Christ is an article that came to my email inbox on Monday, 21 May 2018 while I am on business in Berlin, Germany. I have attributed the article to the person that wrote it.

Dive Into Jesus ChristBungee diving is a craze for those seeking adventure and excitement. Some think you have to be crazy to do it.

While vacationing with my family on Vancouver Island, I saw advertisements for the local Bungee diving hot spot. We drove over to watch. Upon arrival we observed, with fascination, the special platform that was constructed high up over the Nanaimo River gorge.

With feet fastened tightly together and hooked to a long elasticized cord, people dive 140 feet downwards for their thrill of a lifetime. After the drop, which takes only seconds, their upside-down bodies enter the river to about chest level and then are sprung 70 feet back up for another few bounces in the air. A boat on the river retrieves the “remains.”

I first heard of bungee diving from a friend who had done it. He loved the thrill and urged me to try it. When I saw people actually taking the plunge, my thoughts and emotions were mixed. Part of me desired the thrill, but another part wanted to stay in control and avoid the unknown.

Dive Into Jesus ChristThe process was similar to the internal struggle I had years ago over whether or not to trust Jesus Christ with my life. Many people who had done so were urging me to try Him. They spoke of the abundant life He gave them, the thrill of knowing Him, and the joy of having their sins forgiven. I obviously wanted to experience what they had, but the big issue for me was letting go. Being in control of my life was a cherished right I did not want to give up, even if it did leave me shortchanged.

I’m not sure what all went on inside my head that day at the gorge, but I purchased my ticket, climbed the platform, stared the 140 foot drop in the face and took the plunge. It definitely was the thrill of a lifetime!

But it was nothing like plunging into Christ. Twenty-two years ago I stepped off the platform of my self-sufficiency and jumped, by faith, into the arms of Jesus. My drop into his grace instantly cleansed me from all my sin, and I bounced back up a brand new person. I know an ever-present joy because the once mysterious eternal God is now my personal Friend.

If you want an incredible thrill for two minutes, try bungee diving.

If you want abundant life for eternity, plunge into the grace of Jesus.

Welcome to my Bible Truth Restored post where I share an overview of the Protestant Reformation. I am editing the post today to update some new history that I have learned through attending seminars at church.

Sola Scriptura means that Scripture alone is the primary and absolute source for all doctrine and practice (faith and morals).

Bible Truth Restored

Bible Truth RestoredThe Protestant Reformation began in earnest during the fifth century when St. Patrick evangelized Ireland. This was after the Roman Empire had fallen. God used Barbarians to overthrow Rome and some of these Barbarians ended up in Ireland.

Ireland is an Island Nation. It was far enough away from the Catholic Church in Rome to not be influenced by the Papal System that teaches  doctrines that are not in the Bible. You can learn more about this period of Christianity from the Pale Horse Rides Documentary from the Voice of Prophecy.

The Adventist movement, ( every person that believes Jesus Christ is going to return to take His believers to heaven is an Adventist ) is a culmination of Biblical Truth being restored that began in 1175 when Peter Waldo uncovered many deceptions that the Catholic Church used. Due to its length, I made a detailed description of Peter Waldo and the Waldensian movement in the last section of this blog post.*

Bible Truth RestoredIn the 1300’s, John Wycliff translated the Bible into the language of the common people.

Jan Hus ( John Hus ) lived from 1369-1415 in Europe. He protested the Catholic Eucharist tradition. He was burned at the stake for heresy by the Catholic hierarchy.

The Bible does clearly say that Jesus Christ died on the Cross once for mankind’s sins.  1 Peter 3:18 in the Amplified Bible says:

For indeed Christ died for sins once for all, the Just and Righteous for the unjust and unrighteous [the Innocent for the guilty] so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;

Bible Truth RestoredUlrich Zwingli was a Catholic priest serving in Zurich, Switzerland during the 1500’s. Zwingli spoke against the medieval doctrines of the Catholic church and frequently pointed people to base their beliefs on what the Bible says. He was in disagreement with Luther on issues about the Eucharist.

Then in 1517 Martin Luther published his 95 Theses and posted them at the Castle Church on the campus of the University of Wittenburg in Germany.

In the 1500’s, John Calvin ( Presbyterian ) restored the truth that Christ is the mediator between man and God and not a priest.

Then John Smythe ( Baptist ) restored the truth of Baptism by Immersion in the 1600’s.

In the 1700’s, John Wesley ( Methodist ) restored the importance of witnessing.

Everyone of these truths being restored is very important but further truths kept being discovered so just using one of these truths to base a religious doctrine on is not good enough when it comes to following God’s word in the Bible.

Pride can affect very well educated people and closes the mind of some people to the point that they are not willing to accept further truth. More truth came out in 1844.

In 1844, Rise of the Adventist Movement ( 19 years later Seventh-day Adventist ) restores message of Law of God and the Heavenly Sanctuary ministry found in Hebrews 8.

So when someone makes a comment about not believing what the Seventh-day Adventist believe, they are indirectly saying they do not believe in the whole Bible Truth Restoration movement of the Protestant faiths.

If you want to learn more, seek out some Bible studies around Daniel 8:14. This is the 2300 Day Prophecy between 457 BC when the Decree to Rebuild Jerusalem in Ezra 7 was proclaimed until 1844 which is the Start of Judgment after the Great Disappointment. The Seventh-day Baptist led by William Miller were deeply saddened that Jesus did not return in October of 1844.

My resource for the above material is the Gospel Path of Salvation ( GPS ) by Ivor Myers.

Mr. Ivor Myers has an incredible story about being saved and how he overcame a difficult youth. He was involved with the Rap Music Industry in California. Someone shared the Gospel Message with Ivor which dramatically changed his life. You can find some of his videos online.

Here is the detailed synopsis about Peter Waldo that I mentioned above. He lived over 300 years before Martin Luther and began the Bible Truth Restored movement.

*Peter Waldo was a wealthy clothier and merchant living in Lyons, France. Mr. Waldo was well educated, knew how to read Latin which meant he was able to read the Bible . He heard a sermon in 1160 that set in motion a series of events that is probably the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Waldo drew people to him like a ‘magnet’ because he lived what the Bible teaches.

The following information is from Wikipedia: “The Waldensian movement was characterized from the beginning by lay preaching, voluntary poverty and strict adherence to the Bible. Between 1175-1185 Peter Waldo either commissioned a cleric from Lyons to translate the New Testament into the vernacular, the Arpitan (Franco-Provençal) language or was himself involved in this translation work.

Regardless of the source of translation, he is credited with providing to Europe the first translation of the Bible in a ‘modern tongue’ outside of Latin. In 1179, Waldo and one of his disciples went to Rome where they were welcomed by Pope Alexander III, and the Roman Curia. They had to explain their faith before a panel of three clergymen, including issues which were then debated within the Church, as the universal priesthood, the gospel in the vulgar tongue, and the issue of self-imposed poverty.

The results of the meeting were inconclusive, and Waldo’s ideas, but not the movement itself, were condemned at the Third Lateran Council in the same year, though the leaders of the movement had not been yet excommunicated.

Driven away from Lyons, Waldo and his followers settled in the high valleys of Piedmont, and in France, in the Luberon, as they continued in their pursuit of Christianity based on the New Testament. Finally, Waldo was excommunicated by Pope Lucius III during the synod held at Verona in 1184, and the doctrine of the Poor of Lyons was again condemned by the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215 where they are mentioned by name for the first time, and regarded as heresy.

Bible Truth RestoredThe Roman Catholic Church began to persecute the Waldensians, and many were tried and sentenced to death in various European countries during the 12th, 13th, and 14th centuries. These Christians persisted by fleeing to the Alps and hiding there. Centuries after Waldo’s death, this Christian movement connected with the Genevan or Reformed branch of the Protestant Reformation.” The Waldensians were Seventh-day Sabbath keepers.

Did you know that there are Ethiopian Christians that have always kept the Seventh-day Sabbath? It very well could be that they were just far enough away from the Roman Catholic Church that the Sunday worship doctrine never reached the Ethiopians. I have seen a building in Seattle, Washington where a congregation of these Sabbath keepers meets every Saturday for worship.

A denomination known as the Anabaptists rose up during the 16th century. Anabaptists rejected the Catholic practice of infant baptism.

Seventh Day Baptists have presented the Sabbath as a sign of obedience in a covenant relationship with God and not as a condition of salvation. They have not condemned those who do not accept the Sabbath but are curious at the apparent inconsistency of those who claim to accept the Bible as their source of faith and practice, yet have followed traditions of the church instead.

Seventh Day Baptists date their origin with the mid-17th century separatist movement in England. The first separate church of record was the Mill Yard church founded about 1650 in London. A group of these believers established the first Seventh Day Baptist Church in America in December, 1671.

A group of young Bible believing Christians from the Methodist, Seventh-day Baptist & Seventh-day Presbyterian churches stayed up all night reading their Bibles and formed the Seventh-day Adventist church in 1863. The early church leaders were in their 20’s and the movement has grown into the fastest growing Protestant church in the world.

The Seventh-day Adventists have the largest Protestant school system in the world with many hospitals & clinics around the world as well. There are Seventh-day Adventist fellowships in over 220 nations of the world. God has a Bible Truth Restored movement.

JesusI am not a trained Theologian. I did attend private high schools in Virginia and had Theology classes. My college degree is in Business & Economics and I am a born again Baptized by Immersion Seventh-day Adventist Protestant Christian. I am in my Bible doing some daily study ever since Jesus came into my heart in 2007.

I hope you have enjoyed my Bible Truth Restored post. If another Bible based church can show me new truth, I will be open to searching the Scriptures to see if it is sound teaching. As for now, I am confident in the doctrines taught by the Seventh-day Adventist church.

Are You a Disciple

I have a quick question – are you a Disciple? Now, let me ask you another question. Are you a Christian?

Are You a DiscipleOK, so that was a bit of a trick question, wasn’t it? The truth is that I just asked you the same question in two different ways. If you identified yourself as a Christian, then you are a disciple of Jesus. And if you identified yourself as a disciple, well, Christian is just a nickname for a disciple of Jesus. The disciples were first called Christians in a city called Antioch, a couple thousand years ago, and the name has stuck.

But some of you may have been hesitant to call yourself a disciple, because somehow, over the years, we have begun to use the word “disciple” for a special class of Christian. We have begun to think of a disciple as someone who has been “discipled.” Has someone ever asked you “Who discipled you?” Or “Who have you discipled?” Or, “Are you discipling anyone?” Actually, that is kind of odd isn’t it? We don’t call you a driver, because you have been driven, or a baseball player because you have been played. You are not a mother because you have been mothered or a brother because you have been brothered. Why is it that we have begun to suggest that the only real disciples are somehow people who have been discipled?

Are You a DiscipleWe all know that the last instruction of Jesus to his disciples was to “make disciples.” However, I think that we have complicated the command so that it refers to formal “discipleship” programs. We think of a couple of people meeting together, one who has been a Christian for a long time and the other person who is a newer Christian. And often, between them is a Bible and some kind of a book that they are talking about. Sound familiar?

Now, please don’t get me wrong. I am in favor of formal plans that lead to the maturing of disciples. However, when we restrict the process of making disciples to formal meetings, I fear that we have lost the power of ordinary disciples like you and me who constantly, in our everyday lives, are both disciples and people who disciple others. After all, is not the last command of Jesus to make disciples simply a restatement of his initial discipleship invitation: “Come, follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.”?

That first discipleship invitation gives us the essence of what it means to be a disciple: A disciple of Jesus is someone who follows Jesus and who helps others to follow Jesus (i.e. is someone who can “fish for people”). Note that the two go hand-in-hand. When Andrew and Simon left their nets in response to the invitation, it was a response to both aspects of that invitation: they were willing to follow Jesus and they were willing to become fishers of men. If that describes you, then you are a disciple.

Bible Verse: “‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’” (Matthew 4:19)

Spiritual Growth is the most important aspect of my life today.

Years ago I heard a man in a spiritual group meeting in a church basement in New Hampshire say: “Grow or Go”.

spiritual growthI knew right away that he meant we should strive to walk closer to God on a daily basis. In my own personal journey, I have not achieved perfection & realize I never will. I have made progress though.

My journey of walking a spiritual life began as a young child. I learned the fundamental principle that there is some power that many refer to as God that made the world we live in.

In my youth, I lived a life similar to the Prodigal Son described in the Bible. My family tried to rescue me a couple of times. At the age of 34, I was faced with the reality of liver failure from my riotous living. I had to Grow or Go.

God as I did not understand Him at that time put everyone & everything into place that I needed to begin the growth phase of my life. I have asked God for help since that morning in February 1994. I have made some bad decisions along the way and realize that every human being on the planet makes mistakes just like me. I had to surrender my whole being to God through deep and sincere prayer in 2016 and now and am back on a powerful period of spiritual growth.

study-bibleIn 2004, I began reading the Holy Bible. I ask God each time I open the Book to guide my understanding. I also attend weekly Bible classes to be instructed by a mentor and hear other people’s interpretations of the Scriptures.

The biggest single principle that I have learned is that God is Pure Love. His Love and Character are revealed in His Moral Law which is known as the Ten Commandments.

Many sincere Christians say that it is not necessary to keep God’s Moral Law but they are mistaken. Here is why:

  1. Written In Stone by the Finger of God
  2. Eternal In Nature
  3. Our Government Has Laws

Even before there was a nation of Israel, man knew the principles of God’s Law which is Pure Love. By keeping God’s Law, we are saying I surrender to you God. I want you to teach me how to Grow. I want spiritual growth in my life.

I am not saved by keeping God’s Law. I am not a legalist either. I am a Loyalist and look at His Moral Law as Ten Promises. I do not look at God’s Law as bondage or rules that are impossible to follow.

Jesus tells us in John 14:15: If you love Me, keep My commandments.

So here are the Promises that God is making to me by Daily Prayer and Bible Study. Because You Love Me Daniel:

  1. You won’t find it necessary to have another God. I brought you out of bondage.
  2. You won’t need any idols like gambling, movie stars or sports stars or sports teams.
  3. You won’t need any images or pornography or any evil thing in your life. You won’t take my name in vain or use foul language.
  4. You won’t need to be a workaholic and you won’t have to try to work your way to heaven. I provided your ticket to heaven through Jesus Christ.
  5. You won’t disrespect elders and you will live a long and fruitful life.
  6. You won’t murder someone in your mind or physically harm another human being that I created.
  7. You won’t need to have adulterous relationships.
  8. You won’t need to steal what does not belong to you.
  9. You won’t need to bear false witness or lie to anyone.
  10. You won’t need to covet what does not belong to you.

So there you have the Ten Promises. I hope I can help you with your spiritual walk if you want these Promises in Your Life. Just Contact me if you are looking for spiritual growth in your life or need help or want to find a group of Bible believers where you live.

The Truth Shall Set You Free. I am Free Today, Praise God !

Welcome to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Bible study. Jesus will come back the same way he left the earth in the book of Acts. Jesus went up in the clouds and will return the same way. Click on the video below to hear the message read.

Acts 1:8-11
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Jesus Ascends to Heaven
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Second Coming of Jesus ChristMatthew 24:30
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:25-27
See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Second Coming of Jesus ChristRevelation 1:7
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Psalms 50:3
Our God shall come and shall not keep silent;
A fire shall devour before Him,
And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.
There is a common misconception in some religions about a secret rapture. The word ‘rapture’ is not in the Bible. The Bible says that God shall not keep silent and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. Tempestuous means stormy.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Revelation 6:14-17
Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

Isaiah 25:9
And it will be said in that day:“ Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the LORD;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Second Coming of Jesus ChristRevelation 21:1-4
All Things Made New
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Matthew 24:37-42
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

Luke 17:26-29
And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
As the Bible says, Jesus will come back for His believers and it will not be a secret rapture. Everyone will hear Christ as He returns in the clouds and the trumpet sounds.

God is supernatural my friends. God wants to save all man and sent Jesus to die for our sins. Here is the most famous verse in the Bible followed by a powerful verse about what God sent Jesus to earth to do.

SalvationJohn 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus is on a mission my friend. Jesus will work on your heart until one of two things happens:

  1. You Accept Him As Your Lord and Savior
  2. You Go to Sleep
