Welcome to my Eat Foods As Grown for Health post. My passion is to share how raw organic food will help your body prevent or reverse diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease.

Standard American Diet

Many people, myself included are addicted to fast food, junk food or processed foods. For many years, I ate greasy hamburgers, fried chicken, pizza and ice cream when I was younger. I was 75 pounds overweight as a result of eating food that was basically void of nutrients.

When I reached age 40, I realized that I had a problem. I was setting myself up for cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke. God sent me a wake up call when I registered at the Seattle Veterans Hospital to receive medical care.

I was diagnosed with an illness and it was my wake up call. I did not eliminate the unhealthy foods overnight. It took time and I suggest a gradual removal process if you want to sustain permanent results like I have had since the year 2000.

Eating More Food to Get Well

Six years before I became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, I eliminated red meat from my diet. I started eating MORE fresh fruits and vegetables. I started getting rid of the junk foods and the ice cream, cake and cookies. So the principle of Eating More Plant Based Foods to Permanently Lose Weight was very helpful to me. We all eat to sustain life. Our bodies need nutrients. If your diet is plant based, you are getting more nutrition than the person that is not eating a plant based diet.

I feel better at 60 than I did when I was much younger eating foods that had very little nutrition.

It is awesome to see people go from a Standard American Diet to a plant based diet. Your body will notice the difference.

Recent Costco Visit

In May 2019, I was in a local Costco Warehouse to shop for some items. I noticed this cart of a member as they checked out. I cropped the person out of the image to protect their privacy.

All of the above beverages have added sugar. The ready made waffles have added sugar and salt. The bakery bread is loaded with salt and some sugar. The member that bought these products was seriously overweight.

Caldera Greens are grown in volcanic soil in Utah. These greens are loaded with enzymes, fulvic acid, minerals and vitamins.
