How Chiropractic Treatments Improve Your Health

Full Nerve Conductivity

What are the benefits of Chiropractic Treatment?

Is Chiropractic Treatment Safe?

If you are like me, you probably have asked yourself the above questions. Ever since I sustained a serious low back injury in 2002, I have sought out equipment and therapies that will help me deal with the low back pain. Knowing that the Whole Wellness Club has a weekly call featuring a Naturopathic Doctor and former Chiropractor Doctor available for health questions, I decided to ask him to explain the basics of how Chiropractic treatment can help people improve their health.

Dr. Jim is available to take your health questions on Wednesday nights at 7pm Pacific time. We have phone lines that you can dial in from most major cities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Just go to the website here and find the city closest to you.

Instant Teleseminar

Use that number to access the call. Enter conference ID # 530312 and the # sign and you will be on our call. You can ask a question by selecting *2 on your keypad. If you have background noise, mute yourself or select *6.

On a recent Ask Dr. Jim Call, I asked Dr. James Chappell about the purpose of getting the spine adjusted at a Chiropractor. You can listen to the call from the link below.

Full nerve conductivity is a result of having proper spinal alignment. When we are out of alignment, we can have loss of function in various parts of our bodies including our organs.

When you hear or feel a pop in your neck or back, nitrogen gas is coming out of the ligaments in your body in the area being adjusted. I experience this several times each time I go to a chiropractic appointment.

Be aware that I am not a licensed medical provider and my FDA disclaimer is found on the bottom of all my websites pages. I have had excellent results with fitness & wellness and promote products & services that I believe in. By taking effective action and using common sense, I am prescription free and living an abundant life of wellness.

  • So true. When your spine is out of alignment it causes everything else in your body to be out of alignment. I always have felt my best after visiting my chiropractor and getting adjusted. Certain shoes, activities, carrying and lifting objects can cause this to happen and always best to let a professional do the adjustment.

    • So true Barbara! I got out of bed this morning and wanted to sit in my room and do my Bible study and devotional book readings. It felt like someone was stabbing me in my lower back with a knife at 05:00 this morning. Was able to steady myself and get moving for the day. Activities that help me deal with the back pain is some yoga stretching and a long brisk walk. I corrected the ‘nerve’ typo and appreciate your pointing that out to me. One of my character defects is trying to be perfect.

I haven’t tried this yet. But I heard this is very effective.

    • Hello Sarah,
I hope you benefit from the treatments like I have!

Dr. Chappell shares that having full nerve conductivity is the main benefit of chiropractic treatment. For this reason, I do several yoga moves everyday that are helpful for aligning my spine. I also do 10 minutes on my inversion table. Recently I bought a Back Joy posture device that helps me have correct posture while typing content on my blogs each day!

  • A friend of mine sustained serious back injuries because of a road accident. He was put on the chiropractic treatment, and he showed visible results in a short span. He is actually a strong willed person, so he was ready to undergo any treatment which was capable of lessening his pain. The treatment worked wonders for him and as such there is no visible threat to him. Thanks.

    • Hello Aayna,

Good to hear that treatment helped your friend. I need to go in to my post and also mention that walking 30 minutes each day is very good for our posture!

  • Fatima

I had no knowledge of this treatment until now. Thanks for sharing the information; I am sure it is effective.

    • Hello Fatima,
The results speak about the effectiveness of chiropractic treatment. I do not like being in pain and by getting my spine and neck adjusted helps eliminate pain.

Chiropractic treatment does not cure disease; it restores alignment and balance to the spine. This supports your bodies inherit healing systems. The treatments realign the spine to its proper position. When the spine is aligned properly, the nerves and muscles get more blood flow. The nerves are not pinched so they do not give pain. The nerves are connected to the spine, which feed the different parts of the body. Your whole body feels better when the blood flow and alignment is properly restored. When the nerves are blocked or constricted, this lack of blood flow can cause pain and disease. Nerve flow feeds muscles, tendons, and organ systems.

      • Hello Dr. Naghavi,

Thank you for the summary of how the spine affects the health of the whole body. I take a brisk 30 minute walk each day, do some yoga exercises and a bike ride to help reduce back pain and stay fit. I use my inversion table to invert at 90 degrees for around 12 minutes and feel much better when I am finished. I still go to my chiropractor about once a month for any other adjustments that need to be done!

Chiropractic is best non-surgical treatment to solve the disorders of nervous system and muscle system. Mainly this treatment is beneficial for people who are suffering from spinal problems or back pain. It really helps these people. Regular stretching reduces the chances of major problems like sciatica & paralysis.
