Ingredients:

Green cabbage leaves:

Steamed or boiled until tender, but not falling apart

Filling

2 cups cooked rice

3 Tbsp vegan margarine

1 medium onion – diced

1 bell pepper diced, red or yellow

2 ribs celery, chopped fine

4 cloves of garlic, minced or pressed

1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp salt

Sauce

1 14.5oz can tomato sauce

2 cups vegetable stock

½ tsp oregano

1/2 tsp thyme

1/2 tsp basil

Good Directions for Any Cabbage Rolls

Cooking the rice:  Generally the ratio will be one part rice and two parts water.  I like to do this process as a one pot step by adding all the vegetables, peppers and onions, and spices to the same pot.  There is really no reason to take the extra steps of dirtying up a bunch of other pots. You can sauté some onions, to a dark brown flavor, which is really great for cabbage rolls.

Place all the ingredients into a pot, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 40 minutes, until tender.

Add any additional ingredients like textured vegetable protein, nuts, craisins, or whole beans.  Stir in well and your stuffing is ready to go.  I will often stir in a little tomato sauce, or juice for a flavor blast and get the rice to a consistency that I’m looking for.

Cooking the cabbage:  It only takes about 5 minutes in boiling water.  You can add flavor to the water, but it’s really not necessary.  I do put the leaves in the pot separately and not the whole cabbage, this will make your product much more consistent and easier to handle.   Just core out the cabbage and peel the outer leaves.  I will use the inside cabbage for salads.
Drain the cabbage and run cold water over the leaves.  This will help the leaves have a more vibrant color.  The leaves should be flexible enough to roll, but not overcooked to be falling apart. Once they’re cool and drained, they are ready to be stuffed.

Filling the Cabbage:  Now that the rice is a little cooler and the cabbage is cooled down, they are ready to stuff.  We are going to start at the rib, or thick side of the cabbage, and place a couple heaping tablespoons of filling as desired size.  We are going to roll the cabbage, like a burrito, folding in the sides as we go.  At the end, the thinner part of the leaf should be the last fold.

Sauce Topping:  The sauce can go in a thousand directions, I try to have sauces that I can just mix and pour over the top, not needing to stove-top cook.  Make your job easy.

Baking the cabbage rolls:  I like to lace the bottom of the pan with sauce before placing the cabbage rolls in the pan.  If you want to spray the pans to help clean up that’s fine too.

When placing the cabbage rolls into the pan, we want to place the last fold to the bottom of the pan, this will help the sealing.  Cover the cabbage with the remaining sauce and ingredients and then bake in the oven, covered, for about 30 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees. You can always remove the cover and return to the oven for the last 10 minutes to brown the top if you like.

Income Testimonies

Bring Wellness Into Your Life and the Lives of Others!

If you have ever thought of what it would be like to have a successful home based business, earn the money that you deserve, and be able to live your dreams and reach your goals, your time is NOW!

The Whole Wellness Club, established in 2007 as a global leader in the whole food supplement industry is your answer!

Some of the best minds in the direct sales industry have launched Simplicity Pay!

Your Time to Succeed Is Here!

Barbara from the USA shared:

I joined the Whole Wellness Club in 2007 and love the freedom of working from home and being available for my family. The products are exceptional…high quality and the products work. The product formulations have helped me and thousands of members and customers all over the world.

The income I’ve earned enabled me to pay off my bills while enjoying the freedom of working from home and being available for my family. I was able to pay off over $12,000 of credit card debt the very first year that the company existed.

The products are the best quality in the natural wellness industry which is the basis for a very affordable lucrative income opportunity to anyone who wants it.

I believe you will not find another distributor friendly company out there and you are paid very well for your efforts. The owners have integrity and are a pleasure to work with for many years now!

Daniel from the USA shared:

When the company opened in 2007, I was amazed that I could earn some income by having my own health food store. The products helped my health and it is easy to share the products with other people. I had a few customers and other people interested in the business right away.

The last time I looked in my back office, I have over 250 preferred customers buying products from my WWC business. I have been able to work the business full time since the company started in 2007.

I receive a five figure income statement ( 1099 Miscellaneous ) every year from the owner Chuck Dhuey and report the income to the Internal Revenue Service of the United States of America.

Since 2007, my personally sponsored members have earned different income levels. Some of the team have made a $100 or more which covers the members product cost each month.

Other members have earned anywhere from a few hundred dollars to well over $5,000 each month. Because there are some common misconceptions about the direct sales marketing industry, I point this out to anyone that says only the people that get in ‘at the top’ ever make any money. That is just not a True statement.

If you have the desire and work hard, you can make more money than I do each month. It is all up to your attitude, effort and knowledge. Keep learning and studying why people buy from people that they know, like and trust and you will take the actions necessary to get to your goal.

Here are some notes I took from Pastor Pete Geli’s sermon given on 16 March 2013 at Santa Barbara Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church.

Ask-Believe-Claim

The reason we should pray often is that Satan is at war against the church. We are a target of the enemy. We don’t stand a chance by ourselves. Prayer is the opening of our heart to God. Jesus alone can save us.

Revelation 12:17

The dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
In the Bible, the dragon is Satan and the Woman is the Church and Christ’s followers.

Jesus Wants to Restore Us to Holiness. There is a special prayer in Matthew 6 and in Luke 11:1-4:

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.

Disciples Prayer begins and ends with God. There are seven principles found in the Disciples Prayer.

1. Inclusiveness
2. Focused
3. Reverent
4. Hopeful
5. Obedient
6. Trustful
7. Be Grateful

By keeping Jesus Holy and Worship Him, alternative worship will not come to the church. Following God’s will means we have no time to be carnal in our Christian walk. Walk the walk as Jesus did. It all comes down to a matter of love. Jesus rested, blessed and sanctified the Sabbath day.

Trust that Jesus is able to provide for us as we ask for forgiveness of our debts. Keep the Faith!

Whole Wellness Club Products

In 2007, a new company began shipping natural health products worldwide.

The company was started because two men were tired of health companies that would either change formulations of existing products or compromise on ingredients so the company would make more money.  A research team was formed to find the highest quality ingredients and researched the marketplace to only introduce products that were the best solutions for common health challenges that people face today.

By sticking to this philosophy, Whole Wellness Club is the leader in the whole food supplement industry. No other company has a better product in each category of natural health solutions available today!

Read the testimonies of the following people to get an idea of the quality of the products that the company offers.

VelociTea

Dr. Dennis R from the USA shared:
“As a member of the medical community, I was quite familiar with the causes, symptoms and treatments available for Crohn’s disease. I became much more knowledgeable in this regard as I became the victim of this so-called incurable disorder. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind as to the effectiveness and medical principals behind the tea. I have experienced personally the pain and discomfort that results from Crohn’s and I have also done exhaustive research into the possible treatments and cures. The tea is the only viable solution I am aware of for treating and clearing up this dreaded disease.”

Anita from the USA shared:
“Not only did this tea burn fat, it curbed my appetite and added muscle tone to my body. It also helped make my skin smooth on all parts of my body and I have lost over 80 pounds!”

Daniel from the USA shared:
The VelociTea helped me with digestive health issues. I no longer struggle to be regular with my bowel movements. I also can feel the benefits of the tea as it helps remove toxins from my body. Sometimes I am out walking and breath in some exhaust from a truck or automobile. I go home and drink some tea and my lungs are cleansing out the effects of air pollution.

Ricky from the USA shared:

“This herbal tea suppressed my appetite and helped me to be more focused and alert. My concentration was increased, my glucose level stayed regulated, and the tea even corrected my thyroid.”

I debated as to whether to put this on my blog and then remembered what Jesus said in Matthew 28 and so here it is. I changed the name of the woman that is the main character in the narrative to protect privacy!
God has his faithful people in all the different religions so if your faith is mentioned here, I don’t want you to be offended. I am sure there will be many in the New Creation from all kinds of different faith backgrounds and even people in remote places of the world that never heard the name of Jesus. God alone is the Judge and I am thankful to know that!
As she enjoyed her dinner one evening at a nice restaurant, Jane noticed a group of people come in and sit at a large table. She eavesdropped a bit and overheard them talking about the sermon they had heard at church. Before long, the group was joined by a lady and gentleman. Jane quickly figured out the gentleman was a popular preacher she had heard about before.
As the couple were talking with the other people at the table, Jane noticed the pastor and his wife wore jewels and gold that had most likely been bought out of tithes from their church.
“That’s just not right!” she thought, and added this to the growing list of reasons in her heart that she did not fit into any known church. She always accepted invitations to attend services with her Catholic mother, Jehovah’s Witnesses sister, or Jewish convert brother. Many times she even visited her grandmother’s Pentecostal church.
She always wondered what was wrong with her, though, and why she was scared during their whooping and shouting. She was driven over the years to solitary Bible reading, even having communion alone while listening to old Gospel records. As she read her Bible, she asked questions like, “Why don’t Christians keep the Jesus’ Sabbath day?
God leads through amazing circumstances, and began introducing Jane to people. A classmate in her water aerobics class invited her to attend the local Adventist Church. Soon after, a flier arrived in the mail (that she still treasures today) announcing a Bible prophecy seminar. Jane decided to go.
Jane journeyed to Highline Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church in Burien the first evening of the series. So many questions were answered and she felt so comfortable at church that she hasn’t missed a single fascinating meeting, or Sabbath, since!
In the transformational months following, she sold $5,000 worth of jewelry, tearfully prayed out loud for the first time, reconciled with a long estranged sister, plans her travel around Jesus’ Sabbath, celebrated her baptism, and loves returning tithe (knowing the pastors won’t buy gold with it).
Most of all, she says, “I have peace in my heart, and know that I won’t have communion alone anymore.”

Are You Ready to Reach Your Ideal Body Weight?

When I am working with people and coaching them to better health, the very first principle that I share is that we will reach our goal if we never give up! It took me many years to pack on 70 extra pounds.

I had my moment of clarity in 2000 when I was sitting in the lunch room at Alaska Airlines. I was in my 40’s and enjoyed eating all kinds of foods that were not conducive to good health. Many of these foods have excitotoxins in them. The food manufacturers know the way to increase sales of unhealthy food is to add natural flavors and fat, salt, and sugar to their processed foods.

I didn’t like all of the excess baggage on my body. What a concept! A baggage handler with excess baggage.

Alaska Airlines was always bringing in anniversary cakes for employees reaching 5, 10, 15, 20 and more years of service to the company. Someone was always bringing in a dozen donuts. So sugary junk food was all around. We all worked hard loading and unloading the airplanes and when we had a break, many of us would eat food that was not healthy.

I no longer wanted to be sick and tired and decided that I was going to start exercising and follow a diet loaded with beans, fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds and vegetables.

Instead of eating cereal that had added sugars for breakfast, I began eating oatmeal and a grapefruit each morning. When someone brought in donuts or cake, I passed. My reward was seeing my pants get lose and having more energy each day!

The 70 pounds disappeared in 6 months. Daily 30 minute walks have become a regular habit for me. The time I spend exercising each day is the best time in my day. I walk 18 holes of golf each week and that is a reward for being in shape in my middle 50’s!

You have an advantage over me. There is a program that has web based videos showing you how to do some upper and lower body workouts for just 10-12 minutes a day to help you burn many calories each day. Your metabolism will increase and your body will burn fat even while sitting at a computer!

The principle is using the concept that reaching momentary muscular failure in 12 repetitions is just as effective as sitting in a gym for an hour or more doing 3 sets of exercises. By lifting a weight that fatigues your muscle in 12 reps, you can drastically reduce the amount of time necessary to achieve the desired result. Go to my website now to see the series of videos!

Let Me In to See 7 Minute Workout

Hope we can all help people that are sick and tired of being overweight! You are worth it! You will feel better! Get started Today!

4 Ways to Turn Good Posture Into Less Back Pain

Most of us get back pain at some point in our lives. It may be due to a sports-related injury, an accident, or a congenital condition such as scoliosis. But most of the time, upper or lower back pain develops during the course of day-to-day life. Repetitive activities at work or home, such as sitting at a computer or lifting and carrying, may produce tension and muscle tightness that result in a backache.

Fortunately, there is much we can do to prevent this sort of problem. General physical fitness and a healthy weight are important. But one surprisingly simple strategy can go a long way: Paying attention to your posture.

The Basics of Posture

Posture is the way you hold your body while standing, sitting, or performing tasks like lifting, bending, pulling, or reaching. If your posture is good, the bones of the spine — the vertebrae — are correctly aligned.

4 Steps Toward Good Posture

You can improve your posture — and head off back pain — by practicing some imagery and a few easy exercises.

Imagery

Think of a straight line passing through your body from ceiling to floor (your ears, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles should be even and line up vertically). Now imagine that a strong cord attached to your breastbone is pulling your chest and rib cage upward, making you taller. Try to hold your pelvis level — don’t allow the lower back to sway. Think of stretching your head toward the ceiling, increasing the space between your rib cage and pelvis. Picture yourself as a ballerina or ice skater rather than a soldier at attention.

Shoulder blade squeeze. Sit up straight in a chair with your hands resting on your thighs. Keep your shoulders down and your chin level. Slowly draw your shoulders back and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Hold for a count of five; relax. Repeat three or four times.

Upper-body stretch. Stand facing a corner with your arms raised, hands flat against the walls, elbows at shoulder height. Place one foot ahead of the other. Bending your forward knee, exhale as you lean your body toward the corner. Keep your back straight and your chest and head up. You should feel a nice stretch across your chest. Hold this position for 20–30 seconds. Relax.

Arm-across-chest stretch. Raise your right arm to shoulder level in front of you and bend the arm at the elbow, keeping the forearm parallel to the floor. Grasp the right elbow with your left hand and gently pull it across your chest so that you feel a stretch in the upper arm and shoulder on the right side. Hold for 20 seconds; relax both arms. Repeat to the other side. Repeat three times on each side.

Practice these imagery and posture exercises throughout the day. You might try to find a good trigger to help you remember, such as doing one or more of them when you get up from your desk, or right before scheduled breaks and lunch. Soon it will become a habit.

Back in 2002, I suffered disc herniation while working in the airline business. For many years now, I have been continuing physical therapy exercises that I learned after the industrial injury. What helps me the most is a daily 30 minute walk. I have not missed a walk in many years.

This is from my Daily Devotional book that I read each morning. Credits are below the post.

1 Peter 2:2-3

Like newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

The birth of a baby has to be one of the greatest miracles of life. On average, about four babies enter our world every second. During that same second approximately two people die, so that the world population is increasing at the rate of about two people per second. It is a statistic that I have a hard time with, because I know how much pain and sadness there is in our sin-sick world. My prayer is Lord, take care of all those precious lives. A human life is a unit with the greatest known value.

As each healthy baby comes into the world kicking and screaming, it is generally hungry and is ready to eat. When mother cradles baby in her arms, the food is right there at the infant’s mouth, and baby is programmed to root around and latch on and start sucking, drinking in that life-giving milk-another profound miracle story of production. When you study the system from a designer’s perspective, it looks “very good.”

So what is in mother’s milk? Is it good nutrition for the newborn? Does it meet specifications for growth and development? Much research done during the past two decades clearly shows that it is the perfect baby food. It appears to be designed by a loving Creator who knows what He is doing. Consider these observations.

For the first few days mother’s milk ( called colostrum ) is rich in proteins and low in sugar and fats. A perfect nutritional blend, it boosts the baby’s immune system and kick-starts the function of the infant’s fairly inactive and inexperienced digestive tract. For the next few days the milk changes to a sweet watery liquid called transitional milk. The baby gets fully hydrated, and the sweetness appeals to the baby’s awakening senses. Roughly two weeks into life, mother’s milk composition shifts again to the so-called mature milk with watery foremilk and thicker, creamier hindmilk. The fat and sugar content continue to rise, and the immunoglobulin levels fall. After about six months babies begin supplementing their diets with a little solid food as they continue their growth and development. What an analogy. God calls us out of darkness into marvelous light. Born again, we grow unto salvation by feeding on the pure milk of the gospel. It too is just what we need for spiritual development.

Lord, may I hunger and thirst after righteousness. Feed me till I want no more!

Eight Places on Body to Use Tapping

The human body has much energy running through the cells. Our bodies are ‘electric’. For over 5,000 years, energy therapy has been used in Eastern cultures.

Learning how to use your fingertips and tap on the eight meridian points in the body is very beneficial to people seeking drug free solutions to their distress.

Tapping is an excellent way to help people with physical or emotional problems. All you need to begin using tapping is a few minutes. There is no cost involved. You may want to research some videos and learn from people that have researched tapping and the benefits you can expect!

Natural healing solutions are available to everyone and are growing in popularity as people can get relief from distress without having to take pharmaceutical drugs. You should always consult your medical provider and follow their advice.  Here is the list of tapping points:

1. Top of the Head

2. Between the Eyes

3. Side of the Eyes

4. Under the Eyes

5. Under the Nose

6. Cleft of the Chin

7. Collar Bone

8. Under the Arms

I will share more natural healing therapies as I learn more myself. I have used an Avazzia Bio Feedback Electric Stimulation device to help relieve discomfort from some old joint injuries that I sustained when I was much younger. Star Trek medicine is here and keeping up with the latest advances in healing is a passion of mine.

Sea Salt
2 Cups Granola ( you can reference my home made recipe in Healthy Living Category of this blog )

Directions:

Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat a shallow 6-cup baking dish with olive oil cooking spray. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat the preserves until melted and easily stirred. Set the sliced pears in a large bowl, then drizzle the preserves over them. Add the lemon juice and salt then toss well. Spread the pears evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the granola evenly over the pears, then cover the dishs loosely with foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake another 15 minutes, or until the pears are tender. Serve hot or cold.

Recipe appeared in Santa Barbara, California News Press Daily Paper and is written by Sara Moulton from the Associated Press.

This is a short summary of the key points made by Pastor Robert Taylor during his sermon on 16 February 2013 at Santa Barbara Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church.

Would you like to know how much Jesus loves you?

Read Isaiah 53. Christ suffered for us. He was oppressed and afflicted for us. He was beaten and bled for us. Christ NEVER opened His mouth to complain.

If someone beat you, your human nature would retaliate or you would try to run away. This is a great example of Fight or Flight. We would quickly determine whether to stay and fight back or run away.

Jesus never once complained or fought back. Instead He continued healing the sick, cast out devils, and healed the blind. Jesus accepted the abuse He received. Why did Jesus just stand there and take the abuse? The answer is it comes down to the issue of Love.

God loves us so much. The most known Bible scripture of course is John 3:16. Keep reading in verse 17 and you will understand the Outrageous Love He has for us.

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus stepped out of heaven to come and seek YOU. You are not just another face in the crowd.

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It was never about religion. It is all about relationship with Him. Even the Devil knows the Bible. Receive God’s Grace. Do not waste time trying to earn grace. The price has already been paid at Calvary when Christ was crucified.

Jesus stands at the door of our hearts and knocks.

Three ways to receive Jesus and His Love:
1. You are lovable-Just fall into Jesus arms.
2. Relationship-Spend time studying your Bible and in Prayer.
3. Receive His Love and Grace.

This is a wonderfully warm and filling dish to serve during the winter months. For some added heat, try adding diced jalapeno peppers after you’ve added the onion.

Ingredients

Makes 3 servings

1/2 yellow onion, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
2 ripe tomatoes, diced
4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
1/4 cup tomato paste
1 cup green or brown lentils
1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Over medium-high heat, sauté the onion in water until browned. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the carrot, ginger, garlic, curry powder, fenugreek, and tomatoes, sautéing for about 1 minute. Add the vegetable broth and tomato paste, stirring until the tomato paste is thoroughly combined with the broth. Bring the stew to a simmer.

Add the lentils and stir. Once the stew comes back to a simmer, cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Cook the soup for 20 to 30 minutes or until the lentils are soft. Serve over basmati rice.

Full Nerve Conductivity

What are the benefits of Chiropractic Treatment?

Is Chiropractic Treatment Safe?

If you are like me, you probably have asked yourself the above questions. Ever since I sustained a serious low back injury in 2002, I have sought out equipment and therapies that will help me deal with the low back pain. Knowing that the Whole Wellness Club has a weekly call featuring a Naturopathic Doctor and former Chiropractor Doctor available for health questions, I decided to ask him to explain the basics of how Chiropractic treatment can help people improve their health.

Dr. Jim is available to take your health questions on Wednesday nights at 7pm Pacific time. We have phone lines that you can dial in from most major cities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Just go to the website here and find the city closest to you.

On a recent Ask Dr. Jim Call, I asked Dr. James Chappell about the purpose of getting the spine adjusted at a Chiropractor. You can listen to the call from the link below.

Ask Dr. Jim

Full nerve conductivity is a result of having proper spinal alignment. When we are out of alignment, we can have loss of function in various parts of our bodies including our organs.

When you hear or feel a pop in your neck or back, nitrogen gas is coming out of the ligaments in your body in the area being adjusted. I experience this several times each time I go to a chiropractic appointment.

Be aware that I am not a licensed medical provider and my FDA disclaimer is found on the bottom of all my websites pages. I have had excellent results with fitness & wellness and promote products & services that I believe in. By taking effective action and using common sense, I am prescription free and living an abundant life of wellness.
