Hello Everyone! Welcome to my did you achieve your goals post.

I was on Jack Canfield’s call today and want to share some of his wisdom with you my valued subscriber.

1. Did you achieve your goals for 2016? If you failed, did you make progress on some of them?

Instead of feeling defeated on any goals that you did not complete, write on a sheet of paper three horizontal lines with about one inch separating each line. Put 2016 on the bottom line by the margin where the edge of the paper is. List things that you were able to either accomplish or get started on in 2016.

Now put 2017 on the middle line by the margin. Set down a few simple statements on that line. Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to help others in your chosen ministry? Do you want to increase your income from $40,000 a year to $50,000 a year? These are just ideas. Take some time on a weeknight or when you decide to focus on this training and get 2017 goals on paper.

The last line will be 2018. I am writing this message in February 2017 so
planning for 2018 is just smart. Do you have some goals in mind
that you want to see accomplished by January 2018? Do you want to have
more time for travel? Do you want to be able to help family with your
time, talent, or money? Only you know where you want to be at the end of
2017 and in the future. Always remember to ask yourself did you achieve your goals.

2. Set up a time each workday to check in with an accountability partner. This could be a business associate, your minister, a close friend or a family member. Spend 5 minutes talking with each other at 07:30 or another agreed upon time that is convenient for both of you. List 5 action steps that you will engage in to move you towards those 2 horizontal lines that are time line maps of your goals.

3. If you fail to engage in any activity or are feeling down about not
achieving a goal, use tapping therapy. Do a search on Ask.com and you
can learn about releasing negative emotions using this therapy.

4. Give yourself a pat on the back. By reading these messages and taking
action on these ideas to grow your business, you are rising above the
crowd. Sadly, many people opt for a door greeter job at Kmart and sit in
front of a television at night instead of learning how to create a
powerful business in a field that inspires them.

There is nothing wrong with working at Kmart. I would rather be in charge of my future than have someone else tell me what I have to do each day. Learning how to create as an entrepreneur is an awesome journey. Hope you have enjoyed reading my did you achieve your goals post.

“Growing up in a family where there is parental addiction shapes how we learn to live in intimate relationships. Anxiety levels around the kinds of behaviors that surround addiction and the inevitable relationship despair worms its way into our hearts. It’s especially true when we watch those we love change into people we hardly recognize, which takes its toll on how we learn to be in intimate connection with those close to us. So, living with addiction often engenders an anxious sort of hyper-vigilance: we “wait for the other shoe to drop,” we “walk on eggshells.” We scan the faces of the people around us, the people we want to be close to for mood shifts, for reasons not to trust them.

• Blame our partner (or children) for what we are feeling.
• Make our pain about our partner, rather than recognizing that the intensity of our reaction may have historical fuel.
• Feel like a victim, see our partner as the aggressor and ourselves as the disempowered victim.
• Collapse into helplessness and/or become aggressive and intimidate our partner.
• Clearly this is a recipe for disaster when it comes to resolving conflict and getting to the other side of it. When we’re stuck in Fight A, we stay stuck and believe our only options are to keep fighting, disconnect, or self-medicate. The following is an example of how a couple might climb out of this stuck place.

• Blame our partner (or children) for what we are feeling.
• Make our pain about our partner rather than recognizing that the intensity of our reaction may have historical fuel.
• Feel like a victim, see our partner as the aggressor and ourselves as the disempowered victim.
• Collapse into helplessness and/or become aggressive and intimidate our partner.

• Back up, breathe, self reflect, take a moment to calm down, take a break.
• Feel, articulate, and explore feelings that have been triggered.
• Identify sources of transference that may be at the base of projected pain.
• Identify possible historical sources of overreaction and overly intense emotions.
• Separate the past from the present.
• Talk about the issues that have been triggered from the past and move into talking about what is happening in the partnership that needs to be addressed.
• Ask ourselves as a couple how our feelings, attitudes, and behaviors may be affecting our family relationships and your children.
• Make a simple plan for trying out new attitudes and behaviors.
• Kiss and make up.

Oat Burgers

Welcome to my delicious Oat Burgers post where you can quickly make a healthy substitute for animal meat burgers.

Ingredients:

8 Cups Water
1 Cup Organic Tamari ( I use Bragg’s Aminos )
¼ Cup Grapeseed Oil
3 Tablespoons Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Sage
¼ Cup Nutritional Yeast Flakes
8 Cups Organic Quick Oats

Bring all ingredients except the oats to a boil. Mix in oats, stir thoroughly. Turn off heat and let cool slightly to prevent burning your hands. Work quickly to prevent dough from hardening too soon.

Form into burgers with any circular kitchen tool you have. I have circular storage containers that I use. I have used canning jar rings in the past.

Bake at 400 degrees Farenheit for 15 minutes. Flip burgers and bake another 15 minutes.

Great on sandwiches with avocado and sprouts. You can also use in casserole dishes with a mushroom or tomato sauce.

It is sad that big corporate interests are more worried about their profits than the health of the people that consume the foods that they process from animals.

Over time, I was able to give up eating all animal products. I recommend eliminating one food at a time to sustain permanent change. I did not totally give up chicken at once.

I decided to just eat white chicken meat until I was ready to give up chicken breasts. I used the same approach with turkey. Here is a link to some delicious recipes that are vegan. There is a search box where you can enter just about any kind of healthy vegan or vegetarian meal.

Over time as your taste buds change, you will not miss eating animal products. You will also feel better. As a matter of fact, you can get plenty of nutrition from a direct source. Ever notice how cows are grazing in the pasture all day long? If you eat meat from cows, you are getting protein and nutrition from a secondary source. I am grateful that I know eating animal food is not healthy so I ask people do you eat red meat to see if they are interested in getting healthier.

Cows graze pasture lands and eat greens all day. By taking organic greens yourself, you get the protein directly from the plant. Diabetes and Obesity Leads to Death

Welcome to my Diabetes and Obesity Leads to Death post.

I am rather upset. America has had some really great changes through the years and some that are leading to health epidemics. I am a child of the 1960’s and our mother had to call us inside to eat supper every evening and then again when it got dark. We never wanted to be sitting down in front of an electronic device or television. Our lives were spent outside exploring the neighborhood. We played with our friends. Pick up games of kickball and softball were common during the warmer months of the year.

Did you know that 1 out of 5 children are obese?

Did you know that type 2 Diabetes is increasing in children at an alarming rate?

By the year 2030, 1 out of every 3 people in North America will have Diabetes.

Here is how this epidemic got started and has flourished. I am just writing what I thought about the situation from my own personal life experience.

• In the 1960’s Fast Food Restaurants Appeared
• Mothers Took Jobs Outside the Home
• Families Slowly Quit Eating Home Cooked Meals at the Dinner Table
• Color Televisions Became Affordable for Most Homes
• Super Sized Meals and Big Gulp Sugary Soft Drinks at Fast Food Restaurants
• Technology Devices and Game Boys Keep People Occupied on a Couch

When someone sits in front of a television for extended periods of time, their creative abilities are diminished. The viewers are bombarded by advertisements for double bacon cheeseburgers with french fries and a big gulp sugary drink. So the person loses their critical thinking ability and becomes a slave to satisfy the cravings for fat and sugar that the fast food industry has in the foods these fast food companies sell.

The end result is a person that becomes dependent on the next powerful segment of society. The fast food industry now hands the obese person that either has diabetes or is pre-diabetic over to the pharmaceutical drug industry. People die from being overweight and from having diabetes.

Now the orthodox medical community practices good medicine to try and keep the diabetic from suffering from serious issues like blindness, kidney failure, loss of limbs and other health issues. The patient now will be on medication to keep the blood sugar stable for many years. There is a better way. I am glad I got the message that Diabetes and Obesity Leads to Death and made the changes in my life.

Did you know that eating a diet that is plant based and getting daily exercise has been proven to reverse diabetes and heart disease? I am so thankful that I had my own epiphany back in 1998 after I had eliminated cigarette smoking from my habits. I was able to lose the 70 excess pounds I was carrying around. I have since removed all poor dietary choices and only drink pure water and eat vegan recipes. I have not struggled with weight since 1998.

I woke up in time to complete a Bachelors Degree in an excellent University. Studying in college opened my mind up. I do still enjoy a few programs that are on PBS. You can also stream excellent programs on Roku. I finally cut the cord and eliminated cable television. I limit my Roku viewing to programs where I can learn something from the show. I would rather sit with a classic book than watch television.

• Enjoy spending an hour a day doing some form of physical activity
• Enjoy fixing home cooked vegan meals that taste great
• Enjoy reading books that I learn something that I did not know before
• Enjoy looking and feeling great as I age
• Enjoy having a positive outlook on life
• Enjoy not being a slave to fast food industry or pharmaceutical drug industry

Ever notice all the alcohol commercials on television during sports broadcasts? The companies selling alcohol portray alcohol as a way for people to have fun. Ask the people that are permanently injured due to an accident caused while under the influence of alcohol if they are having fun.

With 1 out of 10 people that begin drinking developing a dependency on alcohol, it is wise to leave alcohol alone. I go for morning walks and see the street people that are homeless due to a substance abuse problem or mental health condition. I am sure they are not having fun dealing with life without a home.

Alcohol is high in calories and there is no nutritional benefit. Alcohol dehydrates the body. Drink pure water and your body will function at its best. Water helps move nutrition through the blood to the cells and also rids the body of cell waste.

Don’t know if you saw the news reports recently about Calcium Supplements and health on ABC News. I have grabbed the link for you and will post it at the bottom of this message to show that I have a spirit of cooperation with the orthodox medical community.

I believe that taking just a calcium supplement is not a good idea. Getting a complete minerals product that also includes the other minerals your body needs is vital to long term health. If a person takes just a calcium supplement, you can easily throw your bodies mineral needs out of balance. Our bodies need:

Our soils are depleted of minerals. The US Congress had a study done in 1934 and a report came back from the Agriculture department stating that the soil had become depleted of minerals. The food supplement industry has grown up as a result of this fact. People have taken vitamins for years. Vitamins are important and minerals are just as important. An average of 685 people die from mistakes that orthodox Doctors make on a daily basis. Doctors are important however we should remember that they ‘practice’ medicine. I chose to follow Naturopathic Doctors as that is what Hippocrates practiced thousands of years ago. Naturopathic Doctors believe in the ‘Do NO Harm’ principle in their quest for natural healing. I am thankful for Orthopedic Doctors should I break a bone.

Do You Eat Red Meat?

Welcome to my Do You Eat Red Meat post. For many years, I was a meat eater.

I grew up in the 60’s when McDonald restaurants expanded rapidly. It was a special treat to go there or Burger King to get a hamburger. I continued eating red meat until 1999 when I realized I was overweight and headed for health problems.

We all remember the E Coli deaths and now Jim Avila reports about Pink Slime. Ammonia Gas was used to treat animal fat that was processed into hamburger and sold in the stores to you and me. Watch this video to learn why the meat industry is not your advocate for health.

ABC News was sued over the reports by the Beef Industry. It is sad that big corporate interests are more worried about their profits than the health of the people that consume the foods that they process from animals.

Over time, I was able to give up eating all animal products. I recommend eliminating one food at a time to sustain permanent change. I did not totally give up chicken at once.

I decided to just eat white chicken meat until I was ready to give up chicken breasts. I used the same approach with turkey. Here is a link to some delicious recipes that are vegan. There is a search box where you can enter just about any kind of healthy vegan or vegetarian meal.

You will not miss eating animal products. You will also feel better. As a matter of fact, you can get plenty of nutrition from a direct source. Ever notice how cows are grazing in the pasture all day long? If you eat meat from cows, you are getting protein and nutrition from a secondary source. I am grateful that I know eating animal food is not healthy so I ask people do you eat red meat to see if they are interested in getting healthier.

Cows graze pasture lands and eat greens all day. By taking organic greens yourself, you get the protein directly from the plant.

Should Pregnant Women Drink Alcohol

Welcome to my Should Pregnant Women Drink Alcohol post where we will investigate the health consequences. In June 2012, a controversial health issue was raised: Is alcohol consumption safe for pregnant women?

A recent Danish study concluded that pregnant women can safely drink 1-8 alcoholic beverages each week.

I will include links to all of the articles that share pertinent information about this issue at the end of my post.

It is important to remember to use common sense and logic and consider the source of information and studies. Is there an economic interest behind the Danish study? Is the alcohol industry in anyway involved with the study?

While writing this post the Dragnet television show comes to mind when the actor stated: “Just the Facts”. Let’s look at the facts and research and consider sources.

What do you think about pregnant women drinking alcohol even if it is 1 glass of wine each day? Should Pregnant Women Drink Alcohol ?

Do you know of a woman that was able to have a successful pregnancy by following these viewpoints?

In my travels and research through this life I have learned the following:

1. Sixty percent of women have at least one drink each year

2. One in ten drinkers become addicted to alcohol

3. Alcohol is a toxin that the body does not need

4. Alcoholic drinks tend to be high in calories

5. Some women that drink during pregnancy have children with birth defects including fetal alcohol syndrome

6. Tragedy strikes when a woman that has become addicted to alcohol gets in a motor vehicle and drives

7. Female drinkers have at least a 50 percent higher death rate than male drinkers

Just this weekend in Southern California a young woman crashed her automobile into a young family and killed a young child and the adults are in critical condition at a local hospital. Our hearts can only imagine the pain that family has experienced and there is no way to bring that little child back. On this morning’s Santa Barbara news program another three people were critically injured in a roll over crash on the 101 highway. Alcohol was involved in this accident also.

To cover all bases, the oldest Book in the World and Best Seller still to this day states in:

Proverbs 20:1-3

Wine is a mocker, Strong drink is a brawler, And whoever is led astray by it is not wise.

Another verse to consider: Proverbs 23:31-33

Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it swirls around smoothly;

At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like a viper.

Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse things.

I have never heard of someone desiring rotting fruit ( fermentation ). Alcohol is made by taking rotten fruit and mixing in sugar. Jesus only drank wine that was not fermented.

Let me know what you think about a pregnant woman drinking alcohol. I am not a licensed medical expert but do know that the fetus carries fluid and nutrition to the unborn child. If the woman is drinking more than the suggested one drink a day, how does that impact the fetus?

My personal choice is drinking pure distilled water with electrolytic minerals added back in.
