Congratulations to Canadian Women’s ice hockey team for beating Team USA for Olympic gold medal in Vancouver. Team USA goes home with the Silver medal. Finland takes the bronze medal.

Marie-Philip Poulin scored 2 goals for the Canadian women in the first period of play. Team USA had two different 5 on 3 power plays but failed to convert for a goal. There were several penalties against both teams in the first and second periods but there were no penalties in the final period.

God’s Holy Word is located in the Holy Bible. The Bible is the best selling book of all time. More Bibles sold last year than any other book. How important is it for a Christian to read their Bible? We are either growing towards God or away so having a daily prayer life and Bible Study is the most important thing for Christians to do each day.

Read John 15 about being part of the vine.

1 John 5: 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

II Chronicles 15:2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shallmeditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according toall that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Here is a summary of some questions that came in to Leo Schreven during the 10 day long All Power seminars that I attended in January 2010.

Bible says we need to be baptized by immersion.
Matthew 3:13-17 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. 14 John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” 15 But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. 16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

1. What if my family member has died without proper baptism? God looks at the person’s heart. It is their relationship with God that counts. Many do not know the truth.

2. Is the USA mentioned in Bible Prophecy? Yes, it is in Revelation 13:11:
Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. In the late 1700’s, North America was like a lamb. Recent actions of USA are more like a dragon with wars going on.

3. Is it proper to pray for things? Don’t ask for things. Claim Them! Be a Victorious Christian! Pray that God will bless you and that you are claiming HIS Providence.

4. Lazarus being raised from the dead: Luke 16:19-31
“There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house— 28 for I have five brothers —so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31
He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

5. How should a Christian dress? 1 Timothy 2:9
Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire.

1 Peter 3:3-4
Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

6. Do We Have to Attend Church to Be a Christian?
Leo commented that we gain strength to overcome Satan by being in the Body of Christ. He then gave this Bible verse: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts,  yet one body.

21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. 28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the higher gifts.

And I will show you a still more excellent way.

7. Did Jesus Keep the Sabbath? YES! Jesus kept  1,742 Sabbaths in HIS 33.5 years. He was seen in the Synagogues reading the Scriptures. When HE came back after the resurrection, the early Christian church was keeping Sabbath and you can read about this in the Book of Acts. God’s creation story in Genesis 2 is that HE blessed the Seventh-day and made it HOLY. So the Sabbath is for all of mankind, not just the Jews. The Jews have kept Sabbath for over 5,000 years. Be not deceived as to what man has done.

Papal Rome said it had the authority to change the Commandments of God and the day of worship. The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine , By Rev. Peter Geirmann, Second Edition, p. 50:

“Q. Which is the Sabbath day?
A. Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (336 A. D.) transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”

Papal Rome also changed the tenth commandment and removed the second one about Idol Worship. Be very careful that you are not deceived by Man. Follow the Word of God which is written in the Bible.

Received word today that my aunt has passed away. Gloria earned a Civil Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and graduated very high in her class. She is resting with Jesus now until his second coming. I am making plans to go to the service so please be patient with me until my return early next week. Gloria loved being outdoors in the garden and always had a houseful of dogs and cats. She is survived by my uncle John Roberts and two children and many grandchildren. May she rest in peace.

Just finished a 10 day Bible seminar and learned so many things about the Bible. There are several verses that deal with death and cremation.

1 Samuel 31:12
All the valiant men arose and went all night and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan, and they came to Jabesh and burned them there.

Amos 6:10
And when one’s relative, the one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, “Is there still anyone with you?” he shall say, “No”; and he shall say, “Silence! We must not mention the name of the Lord.”

II Chronicles 16:14
And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.

If you are interested in a really neat discussion, do a search for “one hundred reasons evolution is stupid” on google and watch Kent Hovind’s video.

Here are several great verses to start the day on a positive note:

Psalm 34:8-10
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing

Psalms 119:1-2
Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord!
Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart.

Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me,
and those who seek me diligently find me.

Isaiah 55:6-11
“Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Jeremiah 29:10-13
10 “For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Matthew 6:28-33
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Luke 19:9-10
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Here are some great verses to start the New Year off with. I wish everyone a healthy and prosperous 2010.

Psalm 133:

When Brothers Dwell in Unity

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.

John 17:20:

I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word.

Romans 15:5:

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4:1:

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.

Colossians 3:12:

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

Lamentations 3:22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

Romans 6:3-5 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Hebrews 10:19-25 19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

1 Peter 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Holy Bible

Today was a tough day. I had to make a quick gratitude list because some major financial problems came my way today. I decided not to let a major truck repair and getting locked out of my own house destroy my day. I did the next best thing and will go from there. Tomorrow is another day. Every human being will have tough days. How we deal with problems is part of our learning process. If I dwell on the bad, my attitude will be bad. If I accept that things will happen and it is expensive to live, the situation doesn’t overwhelm me anymore and I can get back to business. Think I will shoot a video about our Peak Enzymes sample packages.
