Get In the Ark Message Reveals That Today Is the Day of Salvation. Life is so fragile. Recently there were some tragic accidents that saw innocent people suddenly lose their lives. Jesus Christ told HIS Disciples that no human knows the day or hour of HIS second coming. The Bible never says that we have a Second Chance at being Saved so don’t believe that deception. Once Christ returns, we are either saved or lost.
Apostle Paul Wrote in 2 Corinthians 6 verses 1-2:
“We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says:
In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
In Acts 23:6, Paul stated: “I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee”. Paul learned from the religious elite of Israel. He persecuted and put Christians to death before his Damascus Road Conversion experience that is detailed in Acts 9. Paul was blinded by the Holy Spirit and became a Missionary Apostle for Jesus Christ after meeting with the Disciples in Jerusalem.
Turn in your Bibles to Matthew 24 verses 37-39:
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
We will now share a brief history of the world, the fall into sin, the depravity of sin, and see that God saved people that obeyed HIS voice.
Turn in your Bibles to Genesis 1. We read that God created the World in 6 literal days. After each of the first 5 days of Creation week, the Bible says: “God saw that it was good”. Notice after day 6 when God created man and the land animals, the Bible says: “God saw that it was very good”.
In Genesis 2 verses 1-3, we see that God rested, blessed and sanctified the Seventh Day. This is the first mention in the Bible about the Seventh day Rest. In verse 4, the Bible says: “This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens”.
Turning now to Genesis 2, God had said that Adam and Eve could eat of all the wonderful fruit of the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2:15-17 except one. God said not to touch the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Bible tells us in Genesis 3:1 that the very good creation fell into sin when Eve believed the deception that the serpent told her that she would not surely die if she ate of the forbidden fruit. Sadly, Eve was deceived and ate of the fruit that God said not to touch. She also gave some of the fruit to Adam and he ate of it. This act of disobedience is the reason every human being is born into sin. You do not have to teach a child how to sin. It is part of being human.
In Genesis 4, Adam and Eve’s son Cain murdered his brother Abel. Sin grew worse and worse to the point that the earth was filled with evil. Now turn to Genesis 6:5-8:
“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord”.
In January 2025, our world is in crisis. We see people suffering from natural disasters. We see people more interested in trying to save nature with no concern over saving souls from the wickedness of this world. There are many wars going on. Enemies think nothing of dropping devastating bombs on each other. Crime is rampant.
Genesis 6:11: “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence”. The rest of Genesis 6 shows us that God used Noah to save as many people from the coming flood as possible. Sadly, only 8 people entered the Ark before the flood came. Once it started raining for 40 days and 40 nights, it was impossible to enter the ark. This is very important for us today. Now we know why accepting Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior when HE Calls On Your Heart as none of us knows our last day here on this earth.
In 2 Peter 2:5, the Bible says: “God did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly”.
Turn to 2 Timothy 3:1-5. The Bible says:
Perilous Times and Perilous Men
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away”!
Because God Is Love, HE Called Noah to Save HIS Creation.
Hebrews 11:7 says: “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith”.
Notice how God shares the fine print. There was just one door on Noah’s Ark but everyone was invited. In John 10:9, the Bible says: “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture”.
Jesus Christ Is the One Door to Be Restored to God.
Genesis 6:16
“You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.”
Now Look at 1 Peter 3:18-20
Christ’s Suffering and Ours
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
There is more evidence that Jesus Christ is the bridge back to God in Acts 4:12:
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”.
Turning back to Matthew 24:38-39, we read again:
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
We do not know when Jesus Christ will come back. It could be today, tomorrow, next week or next year. No one knows except God the Father.
God gives us further warning in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3:
For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
More scripture about being ready is found in 2 Peter 3:9-10:
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
The Day of the Lord
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Isaiah 55:6 wrote this: “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near”.
John 3:16 reveals that God loves us and provided salvation for us in Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
God does not make Salvation hard. Romans 10:9 says:
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”.
Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart as we read in Revelation 3:20:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me”.
When Paul was in jail because of the contempt of the people, the Philippian jailer asked how to be saved. Acts 16:31 says:
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
One of the most popular verses of the Bible is in Joshua 24:15:
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”.
Now let us study one last time Matthew 24 again but read verses 37 to 51 to understand the big picture about Salvation.
“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
The Faithful Servant and the Evil Servant
45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
