Dead People Know Nothing reveals that we humans are made from elements of the earth. Once the breath of life leaves us, we no longer have any consciousness. Our bodies decay in coffins that are buried in the ground. If you open a coffin, you will only see bones in a few years.
Myths are rampant about reincarnation. It is best to go to the Bible to learn about what happens when we die. Jesus Christ said his friend Lazarus was asleep when he was dead in the tomb for 4 days..
If you have lived any length of time, you have attended a funeral or memorial service for a deceased friend or family member. Many sincere Christian people, pastors included say: “Oh don’t cry, don’t worry. They are in heaven now looking down on us.” Others say: “They are in a better place.”
As a student of God’s Word ( Bible ) out of Love I say don’t listen to people that tell you that the person is looking down or is in a better place. It is a deception, myth, and lie that creeped into some Christian churches through Pagan practices.
The very first deception & lie in the Bible is found in Genesis 3:4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!.” Satan is the master of deceptions & lies & his mission is to kill, steal, and destroy.Genesis clearly tells us that God breathed the breath of life into man. Once man dies, breath goes back to God and the physical body goes back to minerals or dust. King Solomon, the wisest man in the world wrote in Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten.”
The myth or false teaching that a person has an immortal soul is not of the Bible. Think of death like this scenario. A person that has a major surgery is given sedatives that put the person to sleep. The person lays there on the operating table, the anesthesiologist tells the patient to count backwards and a second later the patient is asleep.
The next thing the patient knows is they are in the recovery ward and they wake up from the surgery. They knew absolutely nothing that happened during the surgery. They were asleep.
The Bible in John 11 teaches the same thing.
Lazarus was dead ( asleep ) for 4 days. Jesus specifically called Lazarus name because Jesus’s supernatural power would have woken up all the other people that were dead in their graves.So the Bible teaches us that there are four states of existence. The wicked dead & wicked living and the righteous ( saved ) dead & righteous living.
Bible Gateway New King James Version Explains What Happens In 1 Thessalonians 4:
The righteous dead in Christ rise first then the righteous living will meet the Lord Jesus in the air.
