Constantine and the Christian Church

Few Christians know this but all are impacted by it. Three major events happened in the early 4th century.

After Jesus ascended to heaven, the Apostles continued to keep God’s Holy Sanctified Sabbath day ( Seventh-day of the Week which has always been Saturday ) and the Book of Acts is loaded with references to Paul being asked to come back and preach to the Gentiles on the next Sabbath.

Acts 13 Verse 42

In 331, Sunday actually made very little headway as a Christian day of rest until the time of Constantine in the fourth century. Constantine was emperor of Rome from AD 306 to 337. He was a sun worshiper during the first years of his reign.

This first Sunday law was the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Daniel 7:25.

He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.

What is more harmful to the life of the Christian though is the Institutionalization of the Church. Constantine is responsible for what the world knows today as the Catholic church.

There are many wonderful Catholic people that are sincere Christians. These sincere followers of Jesus Christ will be saved & in God’s Kingdom at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The tragic blow to the Christian church though was instead of local Elders of the early Christian church leading, teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, paid clergy evolved and the members of the church became spectators.

For a Christian that follows the Bible, you know that being a spectator will not win souls to Jesus Christ which we that are saved are called to do. I was a spectator myself for most of my life. My change began when I started studying God’s Word in the Holy Bible. Understanding Revelation and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is soon to be the greatest event to ever happen.

Do you have issues or problems in your life ? Are you like me and at times have told God that this is the way it is going to be or I gave up all of this but will not give all of your soul to Jesus ?

The greatest paradox in the world is when we totally let go of self, let Jesus Christ come into our hearts, surrender all of self to HIM, we are then totally free.

Surrender to Win ! Amen ! Come Soon Lord Jesus !
