Welcome to my post about Weight Loss Results. Are you ready for the weight loss madness that happens this time of the year? Here we are again. January and a New Year has begun.

Weight Loss ResultsMany people make resolutions to get healthier, quit smoking, be kinder, and of course: LOSE WEIGHT.

I have some good news for you and some bad news for people that want to continue eating fast foods. Good news first is that there are many people who have reached their desired or ideal weight that were once overweight. These people took action and changed their lifestyle. These people decided that eating healthy food and to move everyday through walking, riding bicycles, working out in their homes, and engaging in physical activity!

The bad news is that anyone that thinks they can continue to eat fast foods, junk foods, and food loaded with sugar, fat and sodium will continue to fail. I get very upset when I see an online ad for Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers saying that you can lose weight on their program by buying hundreds of dollars of their pizza, pasta and chocolate bars. Folks, if nothing changes, nothing changes.

Weight Loss ResultsLosing the excess weight is critical to your health. Overweight people age much faster than normal weight people. The heart has to work extra hard to pump blood to all of the tissues in your body.

The reason we eat food is to supply the body with nutrition which acts as fuel. Our body needs fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables and whole grains. You can buy some healthy fresh organic salads and organic vegetables at the grocery store and pack a healthy lunch to take to work.

      People were not overweight one hundred years ago. Sedentary lifestyles, fast food restaurants and lack of exercise are the main reasons for the obesity epidemic. People fall for weight loss pills, potions and fads and expect that they can still sit on the couch and their excess weight will automatically disappear! If nothing changes, nothing changes!

    I am all for moderation, all things are okay to eat if it is done in moderation. Society has decided to go overboard with the quick gratification thing.

    Indeed a facilitative share . I too managed to lose lot of weight following a healthy diet and workout regime. Austere diets backfire and can never give desirable results. 7 minute workout surely seems to work.

    • Hello Purnima,
      Yes, healthy diet of a moderate amount of food with some daily exercise is the way to stay fit. The reason I share the seven minute workout with people is it is an easy system to use. There is no need to go and spend large amounts of money on gym memberships that most people never use. A Seven Minute Workout just makes sense and you can work out at home.     Making sudden, radical changes to eating habits such as eating nothing but cabbage soup, can lead to short term weight loss. However, such radical changes are neither healthy nor a good idea, and won’t be successful in the long run. Permanently improving your eating habits requires a thoughtful approach in which you Reflect, Replace, and Reinforce.

      I agree with your comment. I made gradual changes to my diet from eating animal products that have no fiber to a plant based diet that is loaded with fiber. Fiber is our friend. Animal products have fat and cholesterol. The plant based diet is cholesterol free and by gradually moving to the plant based diet, a person with a weight problem will lose weight the proper way. That is my experience and I lost 70 pounds for good in 2001.
